Ticket for Gooners away

Featured Replies

So, despite being a ST holder I have been unable to get a ticket for the gooners away in the league cup as they have sold out before they were available to people with my number of loyalty points.

I know 40% go on sale to members on Monday and just wondered if any memebers on here had the loyalty points and didn't want to go to this game and in which case may kindly allow me to use their membership to obtain a ticket via the 'friends & family' system. Would be much appreciated and of course I would return the favour if/when required.

Alternatively if anyone has a spare ticket that would be even easier!

Thanks.

Ps- sorry for creating a thread just for this but I don't create threads very often so decided it was probably ok!

Out of our group we had 28 trying for tickets and only 5 got them, all season ticket holders or away scheme members so they will also have to try again monday. I think gold dust springs to mind. I first thought 9000 was a lot for the capital one cup now I think it will be sold out Monday.

I thought what with the big allocation and the fact it is a midweek league cup game that as a ST holder I would at least get a look in but no chance.

As a ST holder as far as I am aware the remaining 40% of tickets go on sale to members only on Monday so we effectively are now at the back of the queu.

Absolutely barmy the member system. As a member, it suits me, but when I was an ST holder it was infuriating (FYI I don't have enough loyalty points, sorry man).

Anyway best of luck. Will be such a good game, and our away support has been terrific this season (from what I've heard on TV)

Yeah, never really got how members suddenly get priority over ST holders when it comes to 40% of away tickets. I was a member for years so have benefited in the past myself but it does seem a strange way to do it and ST holders with low loyalty points just seem to get shafted every time.

Is it fair that ive missed our last 8 finals(4 FA CUP/1 League Cup/3 Euro finals) as a member when i havent missed a home cup tie for yrs while sts that never bother get final tickets. Semi finals are an anti climax for me as when we win i know ive no chance of a final ticket. Even if they could could keep a very low amount back & put mbs who do every cup tie in a draw at least we'd have a slight chance rather than none at all.

Same for me mate. Wasn't even close to getting tickets

Yeah it works both ways. Some members go to many more games than ST holders, particularly away matches and so I think this does deserve to be recognised. When I was a season ticket holder I generally thought that gave me a free run on whatever I wanted but it never worked out like that. Saying I'm a season ticket holder so I deserve a ticket just doesn't cut it (not aimed at you OP!) and I know it's infuriating.

It must be a hard thing to manage and I think in general the club do a good job. They can't please everyone, sadly.

Get the impression that the Emirates Cup game is going to be the away trip of the season, it's going to be mental in the morning but I'm going to give it my best shot.

I do appreciate that members should get access to away tickets and as I say I was a member for years so have experience it from both sides.

I just find it frustrating how after the initial 60% of ST allocation sells out that the ST holders who may have missed out my one point then suddenly go to the bottom of the pile and effectively have no more chance of getting a ticket than a non-member.

I think it would be more fair if on Monday they were on sale to both the remaining ST holders as well as the top tier of members. Nobody would be guaranteed but at least everyone who should be in contention would still have a shot which is all you can ask.

What is good however is that either way we are going to have 9000 Chels at the emirates for this one and I can imagine it's going to be rocking.

Everyone who wants a ticket should be sorted by the weekend...

Well it sold out pretty damn quickly this morning; think quite a few people will have been left disappointed.

I managed to secure two tickets last night through someone I know so I am sorted.

Will be my first away trip of the season and I reckon it might be a pretty good one.

If anyone has 2 spare " which i know is highly unlikely " then i will buy them at a reasonable price. This offer will remain right up until match day.

Funnily enough I may actually have one spare myself now, won't know for sure untill tomorrow though.

Quiet a few Chelsea meeting in The Drayton Arms on Martineau Road it's a pub for away fans and is only 5 minute walk from the ground.
