It wasn't to be, a 1-1 draw and AFC Hornchurch mean't Hamlet slipped out of the play-off places for the first time this season. A huge crowd of just under 1400 saw the game, a magnificent achievement. The area is buzzing and next season can't come quick enough.

Hows the goalie (Chico) done since he left my local side to rejoin you's?

He came back and played a few games while Phil Wilson was injured.  He did OK, a few heart attack moments as always but better than the other temporary goalie, Wilson's injury probably cost Dulwich about half a dozen points and a play-off place.

Obviously a big jump then as he was seen as one of the best goalies in R1N by many fans

I went to a couple of Hamlet reserve matches over the last week, lost 1-0 to Hanwell on Friday and then beat Wealdstone 6-1 on Monday.  Free admission and about 15 of us behind the goal SINGING through the whole of both matches and the flags were out also.  Absolute blast both matches, we fell out of the gates afterwards and a nice comment by the reserves manager Junior Kadi that the support was better than most away teams bring for Ryman Premier matches.

I urge people to visit Champion Hill next season, you won't go home disappointed.

Support in the Ryman leagues is 80% awful, Pretty much only my local side takes at least 10 every away game and sometimes take 10 singing fans. No other team really have that.

The Ryman Div1 North does seem pretty poorly attended, but then if you took Guernsey, Folkestone and Hastings out of the equation the South wouldn't fare much better.  At least in the Premier we have Bognor, Maidstone and of course Dulwich Hamlet who can muster something close to 200 away fans for a Saturday match.

I remember seeing AFC Wimbledon in the Ryman v Wealdstone and the support was brilliant but I know its an anomaly

Agreed, it's a bit like Maidstone.  I have a lot of time for Wealdstone though, must have been a pretty good atmosphere at the match you went to?

Dulwich Hamlet's Erhun Oztumer moves to Peterborough.  Big mistake IMO, good though he is I'd have thought the Conference or League 2 is his more level, I hope I'm proved wrong, it'll make watching the highlights after MOTD interesting though.  Undisclosed fee, hopefully Dulwich Hamlet did OK out of it especially if there's a sell on fee.

Going to see my local non-league team, Welling United next Tuesday. Home to Millwall. Hope I get out of the ground alive.

Up the Wings!

Welling's my nearest side too, whereabouts are you from?

Sidcup. And you? Try and get to Welling once a season. Nice to go to an old fashioned ground. And it has a great bar as well.

Up the wings!

I'm from Erith so it's only down the road from me.

Is the pitch still on slope?

Yes, the pitch is still on a slope. Erith and Belvedere FC now play their home games at Welling's ground.

Bromley have put together a decent looking squad and have managed to keep hold of many of our key players from last season. We looked convincing last night in a 5-1 win away to Whyteleafe on their new 3G pitch and could very easily of got a few more.

To be fair it was against Whytleafe. Bromley should be beating them any day of the week.

True, but we have struggled with goals so far this pre-season so it was good to get a few last night.
