Away fans pubs near stamford bridge

Featured Replies

Hi

I am looking for an away fans pubs near stamford bridge for the 22nd March 2014 (Chelsea vs Arsenal)

Can you give me, please, the name of the friendly pubs in Chelsea for Arsenal fans

Regards

Thomas

As horrible as this sounds Thomas, and I know it does...

Your chances of finding a friendly away-fans pub during the day of a London derby are extremely rare. You're better off just going to any pub without wearing your shirt and keeping a low profile. It's nowhere near as bad as it used to be say ten years ago but you'll want to keep your wits about you.

Most pubs around the ground require a home match day ticket to get in.

The Cock & Hen is an away pub as far as I know. This is the one West Ham famously 'took' a couple of years ago and proceeded to post soppy videos on Youtube bragging about their achievements of 'taking' a pub. An away pub. What a result!

North end road?

You'll find most of your fellow gooners in starbucks in the shopping centre

jk

If i were you id drink away from the ground/Fulham then travel straight into the stadium

Yeah.

Never been there just heard quite a few fans of opposition teams say they go there.

Was there before the palace game some of the nicest bar staff around the ground didn't notice any away fans but a palace fan did ask me for direction to it after the game. So maybe it is away friendly.

I am pretty sure it is known as an away friendly pub but it is probably also often a case of the police putting certain sets of fans in one pub to confine them to one place before escorting them to the ground.

Honestly saw no palace before the game but after the game they marched down the Fulham road singing and chanting untouched it was embarrassing from a chelsea point of view. My mate who's an inter fan couldn't believe how easy it was for palace basically taking the piss. How sad

Everyone takes the piss because they know that with so much CCTV around you'd be an idiot to start a punch up near the ground.

Agree Peckham but it's hard explaining that to your friend who just couldn't believe how easy it was. We miss the so bar for the bit of banter

To be honest away fans always do that- every away game I go to with Chelsea is the same to be fair.

The fact of the matter it is very rare that anything kicks off because everyone knows that you swing a punch at football you will get the book thrown at you- it's a mugs game these days.

Away fans always make a racket and you wouldn't want it any other way, I just find it funny when a set of muggy teenagers get to a pub early, sing a few songs, get a police escort to the ground and then the next day declare they 'took a pub' and 'took the piss' when not a punch was thrown.
