Posted March 2, 200718 yr Ok, it's been a while, so here goes: For Portsmouth away I am going for the following: ?20 on 2-0 @ 13/2 (Corals) ?10 on 3-0 @ 11/1 (Blue Square) If you don't have accounts with both Corals and Blue Square you will need to settle for slightly less odds than these. For the best odds see http://www.oddschecker.com I do think there may be an argument to cover the 1-0 score instead of 3-0, but the 3-0 odds are much better, and I hate watching a game at 2-0 and preferring us not to score a goal. My betting on matches this season is just about in profit (approx ?140). I was nearly ?600 up at one point, but then had 14 losing matches in a row when our results and scores went all over the place. Now that Cech is back we are keeping more clean sheets, and hopefully scores are easier to predict again. I also risked a hefty odds-on bet for us to win the Carling Cup once we had reached the semi-final (?655 bet to for a ?1,190 return - ?535 profit). I haven't bothered with bets on the Premier or Champions League this season (which may prove to be a good thing - especially with the Premier), but I do have ?30 on us to do the quadruple @ 66/1 (stupid bet I know, but worth it just in case). If people would like to have Chelsea betting banter then please respond, otherwise I won't bother in the future (I know that at least one person strongly objected to me posting messages on betting all the time).
March 2, 200718 yr I know that at least one person strongly objected to me posting messages on betting all the time). tell em to sod off TT. I don't bet but I am fascinated by your posts and have missed them lately! Keep it up mate Kev
March 2, 200718 yr I for one like the Betting stuff TT in fact I have a small bet on all our games, I am well down but dont keep a record as I only bet between ?5 and ?40 normally on the score which makes it hard as you know, I had ?30 on 1-3 on sunday. I do all mine on Sportingodds.com as I cant be bothered to look about and join up with the other sites. I am a bit worried about this game as I think UTDs result may affect the way we play here. I will take your lead this time and go 15:51 102672660 4.00 S Portsmouth v Chelsea Correct Score 0-3 9/1 O 15:51 102672634 6.00 S Portsmouth v Chelsea Correct Score 0-2 11/2 O Plus my usual quid on 15:52 102672846 1.00 S Portsmouth v Chelsea Scorecast 2-0[away],Frank Lampard 25/1 O

March 2, 200718 yr a csr institution, if you ask me. I look forward to seeing your tips and passing them off as my own once more!
March 2, 200718 yr 0-2 sounds like a good shout. however, without Terry we are more likely to concede a goal. so it's 1-2 for me .
March 2, 200718 yr well we are away to a fairly tough home crowd, and portsmouth have it in them to score goals against us, especially with JT gone, but ricki has really been stepping up his game so i think a clean sheet is a half decent bet this time... however, i have a big gut feeling portsmouth will take an early lead. well tough it out and win a 2-1 victory. extrabet 8/1
March 2, 200718 yr keep up the good work TT, love a bet myself, dont put on alot, but before xmas got ?95 up for a ?1, for four draws, then two weeks later had three draws right but the forth match was abandoned at half time, the score was 1-1 at h/t but still won ?34, if it had ended a daw ,would of got ?103, oh well, was chuffed with my little wins
March 4, 200718 yr Author After having stated on Friday that I don't have a current bet on us to win the Premier or the Champions League, I think it is actually more likely we could win the Champions League now that the Premier 'could' be slipping away from us (although I am not giving up yet). Therefore, at odds of 7/2 I don't think that it is a bad bet for us to win the Champions League. So I have just thrown ?200 on it.

I don't bet but I am fascinated by your posts and have missed them lately! Keep it up mate Kev Here, here. I do have a small punt every now and then and like reading your tips TT. I also find it interesting when you let us know how much you're up or down over the course of the season. I'd like to ask do you do the horses/dogs as well, or bet on any other sports ?
March 4, 200718 yr Author I'd like to ask do you do the horses/dogs as well, or bet on any other sports ? just, I do like to punt, but I stay away from the Horses and Dogs, as I have no idea what I am doing. Mostly I limit my betting to Chelsea and Poker (my preference is 7 card stud, rather that Texas Hold-em), but occasionally have a dable in other sports. I followed the Golf betting for a couple of years, but realised that I was chasing a lost cause. I have been known to let my betting get out of hand in the past. That is why I now keep a strict record of my winnings/losses so that it tells me when it is time to slow up or stop. Mostly I try to look at betting as fun, and if I end the season as quits (or a small profit) then it has been a successul year. One of my weaknesses is that when I am winning I start to raise my stakes, which means I lose the money twice as fast as I won it.

My cousins were well into the dogs at one time and ran a few but don't bother now.
March 5, 200718 yr Author P.S. thankyou to everybody who left kind words. I don't mind doing the tips if I think people like to read them.
March 5, 200718 yr Why oh why do I only come across these threads too late! I like your tips TT, even if it's just to see how you get on. I had a bit of a stinker over the World Cup but I'm about even for the season as a whole. I like a punt on games that don't involve Chelsea, just to make watching the games interesting. Had Defoe and Tevez to score at any time yesterday, and backed all the 3pm kick offs on Saturday to finish as draws in trebles - only little bets, I know I'm pretty crap so I bet what I'm 'happy' to lose. The other CL games are difficult to predict this week, but a treble with Manyoo, The Arse and AC Milan wouldn't be the worst bet in the world - may have a go on that.

Jack, I think that betting draws in trebles is actually a very good bet, as you get much better odds on the draws, so when it comes up it pays well. I can't remember the betting plan, but if you pick your best 5 draw possibilities and cover the trebles (with small stakes) it's quite a good system. I think it is better to pick your games than just cover all of the 3pm kickoffs though.
March 5, 200718 yr you forgot this on your post TT, so thought I would add it in for you. I echo the sentiments of the others as well, keep up the tipping please, is interesting whether i have a punt or not.
