This article gave me pause. In it the journo suggests we have the best back six players in the Premier League (Courtois, Ivan, Cahill, JT, Dave and Matic) and that still gives is a great foundation to keep hold of the title.

That's before you even consider Hazard, Fabregas and Costa.

Worth thinking about as we clamour for signings.

I think we all know this but those clamouring for signings wanted to see us strengthen the midfield and ensure we have a solid player up front if Costa goes down.

 

I have my doubts, i feel we need more depth to cover matic and fabregas and a goal scoring attacking mid, pedro and witsel would fit the bill

Those are the two i was really hopeful for, would have made a huge difference at not a lot of cost, especially if we offloaded cuadrado

Rahman, Witsel and Pedro as mentioned above would solve all of our problems.

If Ivan is out, Dave moves to right back and Rahman into left back position.

It wouldn't be long before its Rahman and Dave operating the flanks as Ivan makes way too many mistakes now. Sadly he's ageing rapidly. Still love the guy though and hope he proves me wrong.

Cahill, Zouma and JT is fine.

Matic and Witsel would be absolutely outstanding. Would totally free up Fabregas too.

Hazard, Pedro and Costa would score more goals between them than probably Stoke, Newcastle, Sunderland would as a team. Cesc better get on the phone to Pedro and tell him to make the right decision.

Still baffled by some comments on Branna..best in his spot in premier league. If he is bad how bad are the rest..?

I think the midfielder or the winger most of us here crave for wont happen. We need two defending players. Fullback is a must and a central def for backup is what Jose probably wants because of Stones rumours.

Totally agree, and it's frustrating because they are all obtainable
