Hi Guys,

Taking my dad and a few mates to the Chelsea v West Ham game next month, however i have tickets in the Mathew Harding Lower Row GG seat 120ish. I am aware they arent the best seats in the ground, however i wanted to know if standing can we see the opposition goal?

Appreciate any help.

You'd be able to see the opposite goal if you're sat down but that far back the overhang from the upper stand will probably be an issue if you're standing. You're fairly central I think as well which means people will probably be standing especially against West Ham.

Depends how many of you there are but you might get lucky and find a few empty seats further forwards.

Yes, I've been to the GG row (and will be going next weekend there too) and you can see all the way down to the opposite area (I am not tall, though). It's just some high balls and the screen that you won't see. And expect to be standing all or most of the match. But it is good to see the players positioning and the game.

Cheers guys, to be honest i expect not to be able to see any high balls but i know we will be standing all match as long as i can see the whole pitch standing ill be happy? The main reason to sit in the MH stand is for the atmosphere and against West Ham its too good to miss.

Hi Motorhead, If you get a chance could you take a picture of the view from your seat and post it onto this thread please? No worries if not just would be good as you are sitting in the exact row to get an idea of what to expect before the game.

Sure! No problem at all, I'll take a photo and post it here.

If you go to the ticket section on website you can click on the Area you're sitting in and it will give you the view from your seat.

Really? I have been on the chelsea website on the ticket section and it shows roughly where you will be seated but nothing in the way of actual view from the seat. Unless i am being stupid which is possible, have you got the link?

I wouldn't get your hopes up for a good atmosphere at the bridge for any home game other than a knockout champions league one. Really is appalling and the reason I only go to away games now. As for GG, every time we've been right at the back of the MH or shed we've had no trouble finding other seats

just looked myself, seems like they have taken it away! Seems stupid as at must have been useful for people buying on a game to game basis.

Sat here with my daughter last season

. The seats are ok when everyones sitting down but its awkward to see over peoples heads and the rake of the upper teir when everyones standing.

One plus point is the atmoshere.

Enjoy

Here are the photos. The first one is sitting down (unlikely you will see the game sitting down). The second photo is my view standing up, which will depend on your height. I am 1,65 m (5.41 feet). The view is closer, it is just my mobile that makes things seem further than they are.

Independently of the view, the atmosphere is generally great there, so I'm sure you will enjoy the game.
