I remember for 1980/81, that it cost £44 for an adult season ticket for the Copland Road Stand at Ibrox .

I have no idea why I remember that, as I don’t know the price for season tickets for that Stand until 1986/87 when I believe it cost £60.

Two of my cousins have season tickets in the lower tier ( the old enclosure ) of the Main Stand. I'll need to check with them but I think that they pay £400 for a ST. My ST in the MHU was £880  so a big difference.

That was a great result for Scotland. If only they had scored more against Zaire, they would have progressed, Looks like Sandy Jardine in the background. Just had a look at the Scotland side for the game against Brazil. A fine side. What a great back four. Different times!

The 1974 World Cup was the first tournament I remember.

There must have been a large number of colour TVs rented out to households across the whole of Scotland for that tournament.

I know we got our first colour tv for it.

You're welcome mate. What a great manager. I've posted this before but this is one of my favourite Jock Wallace moments. Nowadays managers wouldn't get away with what he did and would probably be fined for breaching agreements with the media.

Yes, that’s a very good comparison. I should have explained a bit more about Jock Wallace returning to Glasgow Rangers in Nov 1983.
