Fifa seems to have got quite stale in recent years but i'll inevitably buy it still.

Apparently it hasn't been nominated for sports GOTY whilst PES has. As far as those ratings I think they're pretty kind to us considering the season we've just had.

I'm surprised Hazard stayed so high after the year he had! Then again he is an ambassador for Fifa so they pretty much have to give him a good rating.

His talent is there for everyone to see, look how he ended last season, a great euros and so far been excellent this season so fair rating for me. not sure about pedro though 84!?

80 for mangala, 86 for yaya and only 80 for vardy and 77 for bellerin, lol

Id give pes a go this year, especially if you are a fan from the ps2 era. It is definitely a return to form.

Gave FIFA another go last night, started a Chelsea career.

Sold Ivan, Matic, Pedro, Mikel, Cahill and Van Hinkel.

Brought in Bale, Bellerin, Brandt, Tielmans, Saul and Gimeniz from Atletico.

Starting to get used to the game and enjoying it a bit more now.

FIFA 17 uses a different game engine to previous versions (frostbite) so it is quite different this year.  I never bought last years as it looked and played the same as the previous version bar a few new techniques.  17 definitely feels like a new game I think - really enjoying it.

Gameplay isn't different, the frostbite engine has only changed the graphical side so far, it's not been in place long enough to change how it plays on the pitch. 

Fair enough I never knew that. Whatever they have done its much better this year, otherwise I'd have returned it like last years.
