Loan players and other young players, who could possibly feature in next seasons squad

Featured Replies

I've given my thoughts, who do you think is good enough, to feature in the squad next season? If any of them.

GK Nathan Baxter - Playing well for Solihull Moors, but will likely never be good enough, I expect a loan move, possibly permanent.
GK Matej Dela? - A head scratcher, 24 years old, still no way near ready to be our number two, will go out on loan yet again, should leave permanently.
GK Jamal Blackman - Having a good spell at Wycombe, I can't see him staying next season though, not as third choice, he needs game time at his age.

LB Jay Dasilva - Recently joined Charlton on loan, he's a talented kid, another loan move will be on the cards.
LB  Baba Rahman - Was having a decent season for Schalke, until injury struck, will stay on next season to nurse the injury, time will tell if he then features at all, or not.

RB  Wallace - On loan at Gremio, having a poor season, Will likely never make it, a loan move is possible, though a permanent transfer should happen.
RB Fankaty Dabo - Has had a decent start at Swindon, in his first loan move, scoring his first professional goal, should go out on loan again.

CB Fikayo Tomori - Has had a difficult start at Brighton, but is young and talented, another loan move is likely.
CB Jake Clarke-Salter - Hard to judge, suffered a fractured arm, whilst playing for Bristol Rovers, he has talent and should go out on loan again.
CB Kenneth Omeruo - Having a decent spell at Alanyaspor, but is now 23 and will likely never be good enough, I expect a loan move, or a permanent move.
CB Matt Miazga - Used as a defensive substitution, can't ever see him being good enough, will go out on loan again, or perhaps go permanently.
CB Michael Hector - Questionable signing, but he is playing well for Frankfurt, I can't see him staying next season though, another loan move, or a permanent deal will be on the cards.
CB Tomáš Kalas - Has had a solid season for Fulham, though I expect either another loan move, or a permanent transfer.
CB  Andreas Christensen - Has impressed at Borussia Mönchengladbach and I expect him to stay next season.

DM  Mukhtar Ali - Recently joined Vitesse on loan, hasn't had the chance to impress, will likely go out on loan again.
DM Victorien Angban - Struggling for game time at Grenada, should go out on loan again.

CM  Jordan Houghton  - Having a good spell for Doncaster Rovers, will likely be loaned out again.
CM Charlie Colkett - Decent for Bristol Rovers and Swindon, should go on loan again.
CM  Danilo Panti? - Accused Vitesse of being anti Serbian, but can't get a look in at Excelsior either, will go out on loan, or leave permanently.
CM  Mario Pašali? - Has impressed at Milan, though there are talks of a permanent move.
CM  Lewis Baker - Has impressed at Vitesse and I think he has to be in contention to stay next season, I expect that he will get game time in pre season and then Conte will make a decision.
CM  Marco van Ginkel  - The Eredivisie is too easy for him, a loan to a Premier League team would be better, though I don't see why he can't stay on next season.

LM  Cristián Cuevas - Having a decent season for Sint-Truiden, will likely go on loan again.

AM  Jérémie Boga - Having a decent spell for Grenada, without being too impressive, will likely go out on loan again.
AM   Kasey Palmer - Was playing well for Huddersfield, when given the opportunity, until his injury, another loan should be on the cards.
AM  Miro Muheim - Talented kid, but has gone on loan to FC Zurich, who have the option to make the deal permanent, which I expect them to do.

LW  Nathan - Has talent and capable of scoring cracking goals, but always fighting for minutes at Vitesse.
LW  Isaiah Brown - Has impressed at Huddersfield, but another loan move might be more likely.
LW  Lucas Piazon - Has impressed for Fulham, arguably his best loan spell to date, though there have been talks of a permanent move.

RW  Alex Kiwomya  - Having a decent spell at Crewe, I'd expect another loan move.
RW Juan Cuadrado - On a three year loan and will probably never play for us again.
RW  Bertrand Traoré - Has had a decent loan spell at Ajax, he's currently in great form, having had an impressive tournament in the African cup of nations, he recently scored a sublime solo goal, on his return to the Eredivisie. I doubt many would be against him staying next season, though a loan move in the Premier League wouldn't be a bad thing.
RW Christian Atsu - Has had a half decent season for Newcastle, impressed in the African cup of nations, but a permanent move should be on the cards.

CF Joao Rodríguez - On his eighth loan, spends a lot of his playing time in Columbia, where he's hasn't been too impressive, I'd expect another loan, although I wonder what the point is.
CF Islam Feruz - Another head scratcher, he has talent, but has never lived up to his potential, currently at Swindon Town, he was recently looked passed, in favour of other loan players. I think a permanent deal is the right move.
CF Loïc Rémy - Has been injured and hasn't made an impact since returning, a permanent move seems likely.
CF Tammy Abraham - Has had a fine season at City and can surely be in contention to stay next season.

Other young players:

GK  Mitchell Beeney - Struggled for game time at Crawley Town, now back at Chelsea, should be loaned out again.
RB Todd Kane - Stayed at the Bridge, to nurse an injury, recently returned, but I can't see him playing. I think another loan move is likely.
RB Ola Aina - Talented defender, but a loan move would be good for him next season.
CB Alex Davey - Had a decent spell for Crawley, will likely go out on loan again.
CB Nathan Ake - Impressed for Bournemouth, was brought back and hasn't played, apart from in the FA Cup. I think he might go out on loan again next season, though there is a possibility that he might stay.
DM Chalobah - Has played well, when called upon, I think he'll stay on next season.
CM Loftus Cheek - Gets a mixed reaction from fans, but clearly has talent and he's capable of playing in different positions, which is good for a young player. He needs game time, I wouldn't be apposed to a loan move, though he may stay on.
LW Kenedy - Had his time wasted by Walter Mazzarri, who blamed his work ethic. I think he has a future at wing back and could challenge Alonso next season, though a loan move may happen. Clearly talented, which he showed last season, probably should have been sent out on loan again in January.
LW Musonda - Showed his talent at Real Betis, but not rated by Gus Poyet, returned in January, should have been loaned out again, as he can't get a look in. I'd expect another loan move next season.
CF Solanke - Kept in the squad by Conte, hasn't been used and couldn't get a minute against Bristol Rovers, looks set to leave.

Ake is first XI for me next season at LCB. Christensen being on the bench as back up to luiz. Cahill benched, Azpi RCB.

We need serious improvements in midfield (matic) and RWB at least to compete on all fronts next year.

I watched some of the Newcastle game last night and have to say Atsu does look a Championship level player.

For the Newcastle equalizer he hit a shot that was heading for the corner flag and got deflected in - one of the freakiest / jammiest goals you will ever see. But did anyone see Atsu's bit of skill where he did some kind of step-over which fooled everyone - including Him (he lost the ball)!!

I didn't see the game, but he's never struck me as a player who could make it at Chelsea, there are far too many other loanees that have more talent. I saw that Baker scored two cracking goals yesterday, ninth goal of the season.
