Witty/Humorous Player Nicknames

Featured Replies

Hi

Argyle fan here on a mission to identify the classic and current witty nicknames  for players/managers

Going round the Clubs it seems Dave for Azpilecueta is universally popular/copied...also found another couple of Choppers...

Sideshow Bob is also perfect for Luiz....

Love to hear any of the more obscure and apt ones you may have....also any candidates for Beast/Trigger/Psycho which most clubs seem to have...

Cheers

Peter

I always refer to Kante as 'The Kante Twins'

Me and my mate have gone one step further and refer to the Kante Brothers. There’s a reason he has 7 on his back...

Batshuayi is Batsman. From yesteryear we have The Bison for Essien.

I can’t remember any more.

Geremi- Ron

Clive Walker- Flasher- and not because he was quick

Peter Bonetti- Rita Spaghetti

Zola- Red Rum ( Dennis Wise called him that owing to his big teeth)

Not a Chelsea player but a personal favourite was Sheffield Wednesdays Gilles De Bilder- Bob
