Only seems like yesterday, he was tearing defenders apart in the wide opens spaces of the bridge

Up there with Hazard & Joey Cole as my all-time favourite players. Seeing a Wee Pat dribble was worth the entrance fee alone back then. Such a detriment to the modern game that a player like Nevin would struggle to get a look-in now due to his size yet he had more natural ability than the rest of the squad put together.

I highly recommend listening to his interview on the quickly kevin podcast. 

His touch and ball control were sublime. Running with the ball electric. Could go either way with both feet. All the more impressive because of the state of the surfaces he could it on.

£70 million player in today's market. At least.
