Our scorers: John Bumstead 12th, Alan Evans (O.G) 18th and rounding it off, Micky, Thomas 67th min Pen. A crowd 13,267 of saw it Great picture on the front of the programme of 'The Cat' and Eddie in training. Next up is West Brom at The Hawthorns, on Sat 20th April 1985. Remember that programme cover, actually to be honest all these home programmes covers over 83/84 and 84/85 season I can remember and bring back great memories, thanks Ersk. On another point love seeing our large crowds in the old newspaper clippings and the mention of our phenomenal away support, but some of these home crowds are quite poor as well, not just us though, crowds across the league's were dire in the 80's at times, crowd trouble being a major factor, crowds started to improve in English football after Italia 90, then got another turbo boost after Euro 96

Glad you like the them. That programme cover with 'The Cat' and 'Eddie' is one of our best. Just my humble opinion,

King Kerry Dixon 48tth min and Gordon, Davies 71st min. In front of a crowd of 33,733. Just realised I forgot to post this game two days ago. DOH ! We are 9th in Div 1. We should have had a penalty but surprise no joy. Lawrenson hacked Kerry down.

May 14, 20206 yr Author We go down 2-1 to Norwich City . On Tues 14th May 1985 at 7.30pm Last game of 1984/85. Watched by a crowd of 22,882 Our scorer: Micky Thomas in the 41st min. Last appearance of Joey Jones and Micky Thomas. 'Eddie's' 100th game and he saved a penalty in the 16th minute. We finish 6th in our first season back in Division 1. Not a bad return. I've enjoyed going down the memory lane of 1984/85. Nice programme cover for this game, which to me, sums up the previous two Chelsea seasons. We play Glasgow Rangers at The Bridge on Thurs 16th May 1985. A friendly game for the Bradford City Appeal Fund Edited May 14, 20206 yr by erskblue
