There was crowd trouble through the second half mate, between Chelsea and Police, Gate 13,  and the benches being used as spears, the shed invading pitch, in my top  5 games ever been to, obviously not result but the atmosphere was something I have never experienced or never will again, think someone summed it up on here once before it was 'moody'.

Yeah cheers I just tried to 'down play' the trouble that went on during and after this match.

To be honest mate the trouble, the atmosphere inside and outside before and after the game capped with Walker scoring while copper is chasing someone on pitch nearby, police horses charging round pitch, with Millwall at Luton a few weeks later seemed to sum Football up at the times especially with some clubs like us and Millwall, in a wierd way it was a golden age for the terraces, fashion, music and firms, I was nearly 16 for this game, but at school in those days us lads spoke about was casuals, firms and music. Hey it was the 1980's and we had THAT team!

A 2-0 win, gives a small measure of revenge for the Cup Semi Final defeat.

Sunderland away ,small crowd as we were banned ,a few ,ie. 100 or so got in... decent win but would have swapped the win of course for a win in that famous semi final

Totally agree, all those years on.

Saturday, 6th April 1985 saw us at The Bridge and win 1-0.

Queens Park Rangers were our opponents.
