I'm not sure I like the way they are looking at me. 🤷‍♂️

I wonder if they are copying Kitchener and Uncle Sam.

Exactly, both of those posters make you feel "wanted".

If Johanna wanted me it would it would be difficult to refuse. Saying that, if she took one look at me, she would run away or feel ill.

Received my ST for the games at Kingsmeadow this morning. Games at Kingsmeadow will also appear in the app but the signal at Kingsmeadow is a bit hit and miss. Will have to wait and see. Looking forward to the game on Friday.

Two Chelsea WSL fixtures moved for TV

The date and kick-off time for our Women's Super League away match away at Manchester United has been changed, and there is also an alteration to the start time for our match against Tottenham Hotspur at Kingsmeadow in October.

Last season, we clinched the Women's Super League title at Leigh Sports Village, and our return to the venue to face Manchester United will now be shown live on BBC Three.

The date for that fixture has been moved to Friday 3 October, with kick-off set for 19:30. Please note that this is subject to further change and is dependent on Rugby League playoffs.

We face Tottenham Hostspur at Kingsmeadow on Sunday 12 October, and the kick-off time has been set for 12 noon.

That match has been selected for broadcast on Sky Sports.

Full ticket information for these fixtures will follow in due course.

Is it a UEFA rule we get Barcelona every time?

It feels like it but there are so few top teams we inevitably meet them, new format might suit us better but we will still have to be on top form.

Chelsea FC pays tribute to Matt Beard

It is with great sadness and shock that Chelsea Football Club has learned of the passing of our former Women's team manager Matt Beard at the age of 47.

Matt was someone who helped shape Chelsea Women during his three years in charge between 2009 and 2012, laying much of the foundations prior to Emma Hayes' arrival.

On the pitch, Matt was at the helm as we moved home to Staines Town’s Wheatsheaf Park, entered the new Women's Super League and guided us to a first Women's FA Cup final in 2012.

But his impact was equally - if not more so - felt off the pitch by his players and everyone involved with Chelsea Women.

Players and staff alike speak of a man who wasn't just your manager, he was your friend. He was a caring and loving person who always made time for people.

So it came as no surprise that after leaving Chelsea in 2012, Matt went on to achieve great success at Liverpool, winning back-to-back WSL titles.

Spells at Boston Breakers, West Ham United, Bristol City, Liverpool again and Burnley were to follow, guiding the Reds back into the WSL during his first season in charge in 2021-22.

Matt was integral to the growth of the women's game in this country and is a man who will be sadly missed by everyone in the footballing community.

Our thoughts are with Matt’s loved ones at this incredibly difficult time.

May you rest in peace, Matt.

First match of the season for me. Got here a bit late, queue to get in. Weird considering nobody is interested in women’s football…

Enjoy the game. Unfortunately I can't attend the match as have to sort out something and wasn't able to forward on my ticket. I read that there will be a minute's silence in memory of Matt Beard.

As you say, weird that you had to queue when no one is interested in women's football.

Time and date for the away match to Arsenal has been fixed. Will be at noon on Saturday 8 November. So two games in one day. Go to the Emirates for the women's game; then to the pub for a few beers; and then to the Bridge for the men's game against Wolves. Will be a long day.
