Apologies for starting a new thread. Does anybody know whatever happened to a young Dutch lad we signed a few years ago. He was meant to be the next big thing. Xavier something.  Is he still here? Is he coming through the ranks now?

Xavier Mbuyamba ... big strapping lad ... 6'5" ... we signed him from Barcelona's academy.

Still in the development squad. He had a bad injury in his first season with us, but he certainly hasn't developed in the way the club were probably hoping. The few occasions I caught some Development squad action he was capable of making some pretty bad mistakes. I think he will go the same way as the previously much touted Jeffrey Bruma.
