Off to the game in a while. Should be a cracking match. Have a standing ticket but will try and nab a seat. I can pretend that my dodgy knee is playing up. Weather is good so won't need to take a hip flask of whisky.

My old man can’t go, you’re more than welcome to his north stand ticket.

Cheers. Will send you a PM.

Good game between two good sides. Cracking goal from Sam and it would have been the icing on the cake if Leupolz had scored at the end. Thought Berger dominated the box and the defence, apart from a few occasions, was solid. Millie is a good old fashioned no nonsense defender. Still a few games to go and anything could happen but I'll settle for 1-0 wins from now until the end of the season.

Bought a programme today. First time I've bought a programme in years. Cost £2. Cheaper than the programmes for the men's games but fewer pages.

It's a great result. Looking at that Man Utd team, they looked like a strong unit. I think a lot of our girls will develop and be even stronger but you can see we are not quite clicking without the likes of Erin, Fran and Penille on the pitch.

No Guro either - the assist machine.

Extremely pleased with the way the team handled the situation today.

This wasn't a day when the force was with us. Absentees, last minute rejig of assignments, players not quite at 100%, and a very tough team to face, added up to a day where outplaying the opposition was never going to happen, Instead it was a day for digging in, for coping with only 37% possession, for battling. Proud of my team today.
