I suppose you've heard that Liverpool's most successful slum landlord will not be having his contract renewed at the end of the season? Maybe Leeds'll have him icon_lol.gif

More from BBC Sport report here

The Hammers were fined a record ?5.5m on Friday for breaching Premier League rules over the signings of Tevez and fellow Argentine Javier Mascherano, who has since joined Liverpool

I'm still wondering how they got away with signing Mascherano?

As I don't know all the details of the incident it does sound a bit weird that it was ok for Liverpool to have Mascherano when West Ham gets heavily fined for irregularities concerning the Argies' transfers. But they probably know what they're doing. icon_rolleyes.gificon_lol.gif

I just hope I can finish with a few goals and a Champions League final win. That will be the perfect way to end the season for me.

I just hope he goes bankrupt, has all his properties repossessed, never scores again, and never wins another medal. And I hope he plays in Athens.

Didnt he alos play in the CL when he had already played in the uefa cup...

So if we list it

No player can play in the Europe for two different clubs

No player can play for three different clubs in one season

Uefa told the FA to sort out there own house and decide who was to have the 4th CL spot, the FA gave it to 4th place so uefa said ahaha, wrong choice, go on in scousers!!

Can i ask what is the point of rules... oh yeah i forgot to punish Jose un-relentlisly!!

Just to add to my bitter rant, remmeber essien getting banned for two games for nothing!!

Where was the punishments for head butts and so on that season

And one more question Mr RedRob .. what colour did Liverpool originally play in?

firstly my understanding of the Mascherano deal.

The reason it took so long to get premier league clearance with him was because of the sh*t at west ham. They would probably avoided all the sh*t they have had since if we hadnt signed him as the premier league were blissfully ignorant of his status, i believe. As far as i understand we have had to pay a pretty large fee to joorabchian (sp?) so that we are the outright owners of him, although it is agreed that if we want to keep him after the end of next season we have to pay more, and if we dont want to keep him we get our money back, so it is a loan of sorts, but he is wholly owned by one team.

as for playing in 2 european competitions, after the january window you can make changes to your champions league squad and you can, if you choose to, name one player who has played in the uefa cup that season, but none who have already played in the CL. So nothing mysterious there.

as for playing for 3 clubs, we challenged that because the brazilian season had ended prior to january, so although it was 3 i a calendar year it was not 3 in a season and he was being restricted from playing, thats why we needed Fifa to give us the go ahead. there are many other players whove played for 3 clubs, just not so high profile. Jon Stead for example has done this.

and getting into the competition (last year, not this one) was in my opinion the right decision. The champions should always be allowed to defend their trophy in any competition in my opinion. Also that was the FA sh*tting out because they didnt want to upset our poor whinging neighbours who have blamed us for every one of their failings anyhow. The season prior when you played arsenal in the semi the FA said that the winner would get preference if one of you went on to win it.

Also, we played in Blue originally, but only because Everton used to play at anfield and then got told to f**k off and John Houlding used the blue shirts he already had when he created his new team.

anything else i can help you with?

I agree with the principle that a champion should be allowed to defend their trophy but what I didn't agree with was the moving of the goalpost at the last minute. The rules were as they were at the start of the campaign and everyone entered the tournament knowing full well what they were without making a fuss about it. I guess nobody really expected to win the CL but be so inconsistent in their domestic league that they couldn't even finish in a qualifying spot - this despite the fact it has happened before.

Liverpool fell foul of that situation and lo and behold instead of realising the failure to qualify fell entirely at their own feet the grumbling began. The fact that rules have been changed is, for me, a good thing but it was done in the wrong way. it should have been done at the start of a campaign so that every team knew exactly what was going on at the start of the season, it should not have been changed as a knee jerk reaction to one team's combination of success and cock up.

If your neighbours were whinging they were only doing so in equal measures to what you were doing and they were doing it with far more grounds for complaint than you. They had successfully qualified based on the criteria laid out for the tournament, you hadn't.

Not being funny and no trick questions. I'm just curious why about why you choose to spend so much time on a Chelsea forum. Do you post on LFC forums as well? And if not why not?

So I'm guessing that's why you don't get involved in any talk about winning the league then... icon_cool.gif

Fear not, mate! Loz and I have a deal now. He agrees to wear underwear under his kilt, and I agree to limit my Zlatan threads to three per week.

Seems to be a win-win situation for everyone! icon_wink.gif
