Poch over Jose all day long. Under Jose with this squad we might get 1 or maybe 2 develop into world class players but the other 24 would be ruined shells of footballers. Modern players don’t accept Jose’s methods anymore. Those days are gone.

I think there's quite a disconnect between Jose and the modern age players. Back in his glory days, he could tempt players with winning trophies and sell the ' winning at all cost' philosophy, just no longer working with this generation of players. Just like his past 3 jobs, there will be some highlights or even an occasional cups, but quality of football will degrade gradually, more unhappy players, and not even going to take about the famous third season at the club ( if he even makes that far)

Roma fans still love him, and always will, because he won them a trophy - of sorts - and was a penalty shoot-out away from another - better - one, while they were pretty dross domestically. Fair play, Roma fans are a breed apart. Management took a different view. Disruptive, blaming all and sundry while accepting no responsibility, lurking in a car park post-match to abuse the ref and call him a cheat. No thanks.
