January 29, 20251 yr This league is full of teams outperforming their wage bills and the talent in their squads. Chelsea are a long, long way from being one of them. He's hit the nail on the head there - take my hat off to him. Full article here
January 29, 20251 yr Nothing more than what I have been saying for a while now. This lot doesn't have the belief in them to beat one of the bigger names. It makes comments earlier in the season from Colwill look very silly. When he said they felt like they could beat anybody, it's all just talk. What we see on the pitch is something different entirely. This squad doesn't believe in themselves at all, they're timid.

It starts from having genuine leaders with experience. we don't have enough of that in the squad. Our winning teams from the past had leadership throughout.

Azpi was close for a while - but I had doubts about him as a real leader. James doesnt have it. Colwill or Enzo might have it. Dont think any of the rest do.

Roman wanted success, demanded success, made us one of Europe's top clubs. Success above all else. This ownership stated it was more important to instill business values than have sporting achievement. Business success above sporting success. Change Maresca. Change Stewart and Winstanley. Don't matter. If the ownership keep their glazer mentality nothing changes.
February 1, 20251 yr Author I was disappointed just before Christmas when we were flying that Maresca came out and said what he said about us not being ready... almost like he was saying forget it this year guys - so they did!
