August 19, 2025Aug 19 well that's that. we're so far off what's needed to get a win against a team like this.

August 20, 2025Aug 20 Just can't fathom why they went with Martin. Last night was nothing other than a re-run of Southampton's worst moments. There is stubborn and there is pig-headed. Is it true that the only other serious candidate was Ancelotti Jnr?

Whenever I have seen Martin talk on TV, he comes across as knowledgeable and articulate and I quite like him. But I've got a Saints supporting mate who said his ego is just to big and Saints fans were glad to see the back of him. Seems the bloke just won't learn. He has one way of playing and it's the right way - regardless of what results might be telling him. He won't be first and he won't be the last - so many know-all coaches.Martin does have the comfort of having Lucy Pinder as his partner though. I guess if I was going home to her every night, my ego would be off the scale too!!
August 20, 2025Aug 20 Was really hoping we got the Martin who destroyed the Championship with Saints, looks a lot more like the Martin who got found out ever so fast in the PL.Shame really.
August 24, 2025Aug 24 Author Another poor result. I'm dreading the next two matches. If Rangers win both matches and qualify for the Champions League group games I will buy the posters in this thread a bottle of single malt whisky each or a drink of their choice.WATP.
August 24, 2025Aug 24 Hate to jump to rash decisions but Martin has got to go. He clearly is the manager he was in the Prem and not the one who walked the Champ.

August 24, 2025Aug 24 It's the old adage - you can't win the league in September but you can lose it - only Rangers are managing to do it in August

August 27, 2025Aug 27 Author Come on Rangers! A good win and qualification for the CL Group Stage. Saying that a win and qualification tonight and beating Celtic on Sunday could work out very expensive for me!
August 27, 2025Aug 27 Author I posted this in the Rangers Vintage thread earlier today. On 27 August 1988. A great goal from the late, great Ray Wilkins.
