Ferreira, Carvalho, Ashley Cole.

What is the connection between these 3 players ?

If we play with these 3 players on the pitch at the same time, without Maka in front of them, chances are we will concede goals, and in some cases 4 GOALS !

Ferreira is the biggest fairy i have ever seen in the right back position. (Is it a coincidence that 3 of the spuds goals orginated from the right wing ?

Carvalho is just so f**king messy with tackles, not what you want from a defender, and he is nowhere in the air.

Ashley Cole has never done anything for us, NOTHING ! (See the 3rd goal last night from Huddlestone, he had a free shot at goal (within the box) in our left back position, no A.Cole to close him down at all, totally went f**king missing again.

Bring in Alex , Bridge & Belletti. But get a worldclass right back at the end of the season to replace Ferreira.

If we play these 3 again together watch out ! smack_head.gif

Bit harsh, no, very harsh. Riccy has been a stand out player this sesson, Paulo has only just been given a run of games in the first team and has performed well up to now.

Cant defend cole.

When Alex got a run, he played & defended better than Carvalho.

Alex does not make pathetic tackles with both studs showing.

Alex can head the ball all night long.

Carvalho is player of the year

Now you've made me spill my coffee !

Suppose that encompasses our season if you put him top of the pile (very ropey).

Well if his had a poor season, what exactly is that saying for John Terry?

and no, I am NOT suggesting we should go and sell him now.

Do you actually go to games or just post knee jerk reactions when we fail to win? icon_rolleyes.gif

Carvalho has been one of our MOST consistant performers this season, and for the past 2-3 years! One ball hit's him on the back after we put/invited pressure on ourselves and you make a posts like this. Unbelievable! icon_rolleyes.gif

Carvalho has almost without doubt been our best defender this season, and arguably last season too. Ferreira is great when he has confidence/form and Ashley Cole shows signs of greatness too, and was regarded as the best LB in the world whilst at Arsenal.

Last night though, all three (and JT!) were bloody shocking

as others will / have covered the other parts

yes, in a word.

we conceded from 3 set pieces and a long ball.

p.s. also, erased panucci from memory or something?

Carvalho is player of the year

On the whole I would agree with that. He has been pretty consistent. It's just that when he has a shocker, he is truly awful.

A bit of Leboeuf with more hair.

So for everyone of you that do not 'go to' games BLUENUT says your opinion does not matter.

I have seen 3 games, but have watched EVERY other ep game via p2p.

John Terry was fouled twice last night for both the first 2 goals, both times he was prevented from jumping for the ball, go watch it again.

He also pulled out of a tackle on Huddlestone inside the penalty area and prevented an almost certain penalty being conceded, and thus got Huddlestone booked for diving.

I am picking on these 3 players because they all played 90 minutes in both the 4-4 draws weve played in this season.

Yes i am pissed off with them ! icon_sad.gif

No he doesn't. 247.gif

I should have asked have you seen RC over the course of the season, and not judge him on one game. Some performances he's put in this season have dragged us thru games on his own.

You've already said Terry was at fault for 2 of their goals why not slate him, he's hardly been the same player since returning. Cudicini could have done better with the looping header and the Huddleston goal was sh*t marking all round, should have been Ashley Coles man I think. RC had a bad day when the ball hit him on the back, that's all, he misjudged the flight of the ball as we were under pressure.

So perhaps one of the goals were his fault, seeing as it was a decent finish from Keane from 20 odd yards out. I just think your post is a knee jerk over reaction to a player who's had a fine season.

I don't go to games any more, not very often anyway and I've got to say that those that go have a much better idea of how players are performing than those that don't. So although everyone's opinion is valid, those that go are the ones to listen to if you want to know how players are performing!

Barn I respect you opinion, as much as the next blokes, weither you attend games or not, for whatever reason we cant all make every game - i wasn't there last night i might add!

But to name a player being at fault for 2 of the goals (terry)and digging out his central defensive partnership seems a little harsh to me.

It went a bit further than just the goal after it hit him on the back. Not just Carvo, but the whole defence and Maka were terrible last night. What about the pass across the box Ricci did that went by JT towards Ashley which Spurs could have easily scored from? And the countless back passes putting Carlo under pressure? Berbatov and Keane pulled Ricci and JT all over the place last night. They were poor.

No i said JT was fould for both the first 2 goals mate.

Woodgate was doing a gym horse vault on JT, and Berbatov had his hand FIRMLY planted into JT's back.

I'm not really blaming anyone for last night. I just wanted to vent my anger at these 3 in particular as they were playing the whole 90 minutes of both the 4-4 games, thats all.

And yes i know supporters in the ground are best placed to give an opinion, but that does not necessarily mean it is more valid.

but that's a flawed way of looking at things IMO- further proof about why statistics cannot be trusted.

anyway- go on elaborate further about ferreira- and the three goals that apparently came down his side.. I don't think he was culpable for even one goal, though he did play poorly.

Thats a flawed way of looking at it, if he played poorly then he is to blame, to some degree at least, even though not directly responsible for goals, he is responsible for the amount of ball possesion lost, and his inability to sprint over 5MPH.

Make up your f**cking mind...

Ricci has been our most consistent defender this season. Paolo has not been helped by being passed over for Belletti who is the worst excuse for a defender that I have seen since, well Ashley bloody Cole...
