Great player and really nice bloke, saw him on MTV Cribs and he still has Chelsea in his Heart,

not a bad Gaff he's got either icon_lol.gif

what kind of injury finished his career ?

was it similar to casiraghi's at anfield ?

for the life of me, i cant remember

it was a very bad fracture of his leg, in a european match

it looked horrific

was gutted him and cassaraghi got injured. i couldnt wait to see the two of them playing together for a few seasons. i remember his injury. was away to some swiss side (galen?) and it was horrible.was an incredibly talented player, very underrated by everyone other than us. in my opinion he was the best player we had after franco back then.

It was a double leg break away at St Gallen in the UEFA cup (which we ended up losing). The injury made Eduardo's pale into insignificance given Robbie's leg went into three directions.

Casiraghi's injury occurred against the Wet Spammers when he went in for a 50/50 ball but got sandwiched between the goalie and a defender which effectively wrenched his knee to pieces. The surgeon said it looked as though a bomb had gone off inside his knee.

I remember having to read the report on the Gallen match, and was gutted to read about RObbie! This was in teh days before streaming etc, and the old CSR was my only way of keeping up with the Blues. The one thing that pissed me off the most, was Sky wrote up a report on him, and the only footage they showed of him was the tackle that ended his career. Not the goal at Wembley, not one of any of his great goals for us...but his leg break! In todays times, if the same had happened to Gerrard, they would have a freaking highlight reel about the c*nt

Correction: There would also be a minutes silence across the nation, and the death of his career would be known as Gerrard Day, a day of sombre reflection of his genius.
