Lady Diehard
This is the first time that I have been interested in this particular topic, because in the past when the Premiership has gone down to the final day we haven't been involved. How do they present the trophy in these cases? The trophy can't be at both grounds at the same time. Do they have a duplicate? It's something that's been niggling at me over these last three weeks or so. Anyone know what happens?

Maksimov
Not sure how the FA will handle it, but in Finland the trophy will be at the stadium where the current league leader(before the final match) plays their final match. I remember when my local team won their first league Championship, the trophy was in Helsinki as HJK was in the lead before the final round of matches. After the games finished, they drove the trophy to Tampere(about a two hour drive away), so it wasn't presented at the stadium, but the players had the trophy later that night at the restaurant they were celebrating the Championship at. Gem
Apparently staging (for presentations) has been ordered at Wigan after Saturdays game against West Ham Of course it has, but apparantly "Curbs" told them in advance to Saturday's game to deliver it to Wigan, coz they sure as hell weren't going to put up a fight. loz
In Scotland when it has come down to the last game it has been in a chopper with the pilot monitoring the scores to head toward the likelier destination as the games pan out. Screwed them up a few seasons ago when Celtic lost at at the death against Motherwell.
Lady Diehard
Oi, you lot - is someone gooing to answer this bloody questiion seriously No - come on, lads - I really want to know. The trophy surely has to be presented on the final day - so if they're all ready to roll it out at the JJB when United are winning 1-0 at 90 mins and we are winning 3-0 at 90 mins and then Emile Heskey equalises in injury time - not even Santa Claus could fly it down to the bridge in 30 seconds! Sensible answers on a post card please....

Old red nose running after the chopper shouting wait, wait theirs been a mistake, as the chopper flies off into the distance down the M1.

Mod
Sensible answers on a post card please.... There is a duplicate Trophy, remember when it was at Barclays Bank and at Stamford Bridge at the same time. Edit: D'oh just read Bluedeano's post. The chopper is the serious answer! As is the staging ordered at Wigan.
Maksimov
And I reckon neither of those trophies was the original. I think the club can have the original only during the presentation at the stadium, but then the original is taken to be safely stored inside some safe somewhere. The reigning champions and other instances who may need to display the trophy gget a copy to show during the rest of the year. Or that's what I've heard. Not sure, though.
