Mp3 Players

Featured Replies

Anyone have a good mp3 player that isn't an ipod, I have been looking at Zunes but just wondering if anyone has had good or bad experiences with any.

Zune has some absolutely amazing features; the Zune pass thing just seems incredible, you can basically download anything you like for around $20 a month - this includes being able to subscribe to various feeds, or your friends playlists and just checking everything out that way.

There are other great benefits too, like being able to wirelessly send songs to other Zunes, and being able to wirelessly update the videos on it from your TiVO equivalent, so if you record something at home, you can easily watch it the next day at work or something.

There's loads, loads more cool stuff that isn't available on iPod so I'd definitely consider the Zune. Personally I have an iPod and think it's great, but the Zune isn't out here yet :P

i've got a phillips 1gb at the moment, its quite good and does the job

if your looking for something better try out the sony walkman range, they are brilliant and work very well with excellent sound quality, until they fall out of your pocket whilst running for the bus and shatter on the floor :P

Hmm... I have a Creative Zen, iPod Nano, iPod Classic, Samsung MP3, Sony MP3... All are good, Sony was proably my favourite though... I currently use the iPod Nano (it's blue :P ).

Creative are very good. They do some great clerance deals on their UK website - I'll post a link when I find it.

I've got a Ministry of Sound 1Gb. Cost me a tenner in a catalogue sale. Clear display, easy to use controls, looks good and sounds good.

I have a Creative Zen V and it hasn't failed on me yet, 2GB of memory and it only cost me £30 odd!

Very easy to use, great sound quality through the headphones and it's just a simple drag and drop system to put music on it!

yeah, creative is the way to go. far superior to the ipod's for sure.

Got a few creatives, and they are all good.

Stone 2GB, Zen V Plus 4gb, Photo Sleek 20GB, brought my fiancee the new style player 4gb and it has a SD memory card slot if you use up the 4gb on the player.

Never had a problem with any of them.

Ive got an i-river, a 8g zune (given as a promo) and the newish 160g ipod classic.

i can say without any doubt the ipod is by far and away the best. great for films on the train.

I have what's now a fairly old create zen m series blah blah blah. it's 30gb, and the battery is double the equivalent ipod for films.

also the cd that comes with it lets you convert any vid into a low resolution (i.e. less memory, but perfect quality for a small screen) avi file, which lets you put anything you may or may not have downloaded off the net onto it easily. I heard the video options on the ipod were quite limited, dunno about the more recent versions.
