For all the problems in the past I must admit that my hatred of Spurs and their fans eased when we played them after Mattew Harding's death. You could have heard a pin drop in the bridge that day.
Why do Chelsea hate Tottenham ?

My reasons for hating Tottenham are primarily the fans etc. As someone rightly pointed out to this day they still try and start on people that don't want to know. Parson's Green a few years ago for instance, they attacked a family pub with kids and non-Chelsea fans, obviously not brave enough to try anywhere on Kings Road or Fulham Road.
I hate the area as well, full of absolute p**cks that like to taunt opposition fans when they've lost the game as I've experienced myself. I also don't like the fact they genuinely believe they are a big club just because they were a decent cup team in the 60s and 80s and won the double in 61. With Liverpool to an extent it is acceptable because they are undeniably abig club with plenty of history past success, Spurs have none of that and are just a two bit club that have massively underachieved given the money they've spent down the years and the talent at their disposal.
