Now that was just brilliant.

Hazard was absolutely top-notch today. A lot of soul and team-spirit in the second half. It's tragic to see that we've lost our chance to win this trophy again...at least there remains Europa League.

This does not seem promising... and with all that happened at dortmund - malaga in the extra time, all in all i'm a bit worried.

We were so close. Ambitious, hard-working ...just plain great. I really hoped we could win it all in the end.

First Hazard, now Ramires.....amazing comeback, hopefully we'll score another one at the 78 minute mark or something!

How can we win if we have this spirit and mentality!? Were the players just expecting the other side to score own goals or what!? It clearly was not a game we deserved to win... The way Steaua was passing in the later part of the game, huh it was like cutting through cheese. Hopefully this might be a waking call for the man u game.

It did seem to be a penalty...bertrand should've been more careful. 1-0...

It all depends on how we start the game. Steaua has proven to be a very uncomfortable team with an ardent desire to win against all odds. Still, one of the main things that strike me the most about this team is that they as well will not play any veritable forward. Most of their goals, it seems come from the defence or midfield with one exception: Rusescu, who has scored 21 goals or something so far. Still, he is mostly a second striker, who is not able to play up front -- a good connection between our defence and midfield should neutralize him. Anyway, I don't think they have a player that can win a game on his own, like we have on ocassions Hazard, Lampard, Oscar and especially Mata. But still, judging from the league position and from the Ajax game, they look like a very cohesive group with great mentality and team spirit and a coach everybody believes in....ahem...unlike Benitez to put it lightly. I'm looking forward to that game and to be entirely honest, I think that the true mentality of a big team is defined by how they treat every game whether in Europa League or the Champions League. Every match should be won with the best resources at hand, it might not be feasible and it's understandable (this is why we need to have a complete line-up with ideally two valuable players - preferably - fighting for the same position) but every game should be treated with the utmost respect for the opponent and for ourselves. We are Chelsea and we are meant to win every game. That's how one of the most powerful sides in Europe should and needs to act.

Very impressive display by our lads. Hopefully we'll maintain the same intensity during the entire game! Also, David Luiz's free kick was quite something on it's own.

Great combination there. Oscar and Hazard were fantastic.

Highly dissappointing... we looked like a mid-table team. Unsure, unfit, undecided - we need to again recapture the merciless victorious spirit that won us so many trophies.

A very passive display throughout the game. No desire overall and when there was...the inability to make a few decent passes and to actually build up something kicked in. There was no link between the defence and Ba. It was sad really, to see a headless team running every time to get the ball back. Anyway; I still think that for now a system with 2 strikers would suit us better.

We didn't once leave our half of the pitch since the 80 min. mark....

No....we need 2 strikers up front. Ba is looking like Torres minute by minute: gets the ball...and passes back - and remains back. At least now that they are leading 1-0, we should try it.

Incredible. After 2-0 for Ajax on Amsterdam Arena, Steaua Bucharest won at home at penalities after a superb performance 2-0 (and an amazing goal from its captain/defender Chiriches). Steaua clearly dominated most of the game. It should be an interesting match between them and Chelsea in the next round.

That was a poor shot from Ramires...huh

I'm sick and tired of hearing Sparta's supporters dominate the stadium...where is the spirit...this doesn't even feel like a home match.

Moses is one of the better players on the pitch, really in form.
