Facing our "Bogy Team" again, not at all confident given both past results and recent events.

We need to win this otherwise the shadow of Europa League next season looms ever larger.

Expecting the home fans to absolutely batter Bentiez if he is still around.

Best case: 2-1 Chelsea

Worst case: 3-0 West Brom

Stevie Clarke will get a nice reception.

I wouldn't mind having him as our next manager tbh! Hope he does get a fantastic reception, guy deserves it

My worry is give him or Zola the job the board will f**k them around like they did to rdm I don't want to go through that again.

Please can we leave He Who Must Not Be Named out of this match thread for once? He is dominating all other threads of this rather depressing forum at the moment.

We'll thrash them.

I agree (except my username lmao)

We need to get fully behind the team and give our support, ignore him.

3-1 us, we'll go down in the first 15 minutes then turn around

With the North London derby this weekend (which hopefully Spurs will win), this is our best chance to put some ground between us and Le Arse.

Don't f**k it up lads, full strength team:

----------Cech

Dave - JT - Cahill - Ash

------Lamps - Luiz

Moses - Mata - Hazard

-------------Ba

Still hard to work out whether Oscar or Moses is on the right in our strongest XI, probably Moses when we're playing at home against teams we should dominate possession against.

3- 1 blueboys.... But we must start quicker, we seem to be in a malaise for 15 mins. Long will fancy taking on both centre backs like last season when he out foxed Alex. Absolute must win so need some variety in our passing and get it forward quicker and longer

My team is Czech, dave, Cahill, JT, ash

Oscar and luiz

Moses mata hazard

Ba

Plenty pace and movement

No Ramirez as he has been very patchy, lamps as a sub

Why would you want spurs to win? Would of thought a draw there was the perfect result for us. Gaining 2 points on both of them instead of just 3 on one of them.

Is everyone fit? Dave wasn't for Borough and neither was Ivan

Dave Ivan Cahill Cole

Ramires Luiz Lampard

Mata Ba Hazard

Subs: Oscar, Torres, Moses, Turnbull, Terry, Mikel

Would like to put Ake on the subs bench at least, but maybe its too soon for two games in a week.

This would probably be my team too.

I like Moses in the team, he adds more natural width and I rate his crossing ability too.

Have to field the strongest team possible, and based on that I would probably go with Jonty's team too

For a while now posters on these boards have said if we lose the next game the FSW will go. I never believed that to be the case. However on this occasion, with the inevitable hostility that will pour down from the stands, I truly believe he will go if we lose this one, or even possibly if we draw. It's a win-win as far as I'm concerned. Benitez knew his rant would generate a worse atmosphere (the irony being the atmosphere hasn't been that bad at home games but saying that didn't suit Benitez' agenda), he was just getting his excuses in early, hanging everyone else out to dry, as is his wont. No doubt he will pick the eleven that he thinks will work hardest for him, and it will be interesting to see what that line-up is. If Torres plays the atmosphere will be even more poisonous, if that were possible.

Have to agree with your assessment Davey.  Hopefully the noise will be immense and all the energy and anger will be directed towards the bench, I think 40,000 + angry fans will affect the players though and I don't expect a good performance with a draw at best being the outcome.....go 1-0 down and the fans will be baying for blood.  Oh what a mess we are in...

Tomorrow as against reigning our hatred against FSW ,we could sing the praises to the King of Stamford Bridge. RIP Ossie.

Born is the king. RIP Ossie a real Chelsea legend.

As long as the booing of Benetiz is mixed in with chants for the players (Super, Super Frank) I think the players will be fine.

They aren't idiots, they will know as much as anyone how much Benetiz post match comments will have upset us and I'm sure JT will have a "quiet" word with the players and tell them to put in a shift for us.
