  1. poor Juan, what has he done........let's hope he hasn't actually signed the dotted line yet, there's still a chance to save his career
  2. i can't remember seeing worse penalty taking - even the wonder boy flopped
  3. anyone watching this penalty shoot out???? crap or what!
  4. Poyet will burst several blood vessels
  5. De Gea - massive blunder United out ha ha ha
  6. cheers - I've got a bit of French but there's a little dialect stuff here I'm not 100% with
  7. i think it means "respect brother - Hazard was already a great name now Thorgan will be just as well known - kisses
  8. This. And do you honestly believe that adding Mata wil stop United getting stuffed by City if they make to the Capital One final?
  9. without doubt the worst United side in living memory - being outplayed by Sunderland. They've no shape and that's down to Moyes
  10. it's not as if we haven't traded with United in the past - Ray Wilkins, Mark Hughes......maybe i'm just an old-timer (44 years following Chelsea) but this isn't unique. The idea that Premiership sides shouldn't trade with each other is daft
  11. still think there's a lot of panic on this thread - we will have a stronger team than United regardless; will Moyes be able to get United to gel?? - I don't know but I don't see much sign of that, what I see with United is a team where the players themselves are trying to keep it together. They don't appear to get much direction or guidance from Moyes on the touchline. In contrast, we have the best club manager in world football who is building a new team to his personal design - what's the problem?
  12. although Jose very recently said he thought Rooney would leave United but would go abroad - maybe he knows something about Madrid's intentions. overall I'm pretty relaxed about the thought of Mata going to United. You can see that he doesn't fit in with Mourinho's philosophy. Does Jose think his Chelsea will be stronger than United whether they have Mata or not?? - I guess he must. I've faith in Jose, he's said we are going to be phenomenal next year, expectations for this season are being very carefully managed while he goes about refining the team into the shape and style he wants. There's also no guarantee that United will be magically transformed by Mata's arrival, I think their problems are deeper than that.
  13. on tonight's showing he looks like another year on loan - i've long anguished over why we didn't hold on to him this season but sometimes you've to wonder is he really the real deal?
  14. ok - it wasn't pretty but apart from a couple of occasions they never looked threatening. i think we now are the only team in the league with a manager who's worth a goal before the game starts. the last few weeks have shown that Jose's tactical genius is beginning to be fully understood by the newer players. it was really interesting to see how often our guys were looking over to the touchline for Jose's advice and instruction. i think we are on a roll, it's not always going to be flowing football but we've got that winning mentality back
  15. Blackburn are putting up a better show than a lot of premier league sides (probably the kiss of death)
  16. the SPL without Rangers - just a one-horse procession to the title every year, boring....
  17. i remember Mourinho saying during his first period with us that he thought it should be a rule that the premiership teams must play their 3rd roudn ties away from home; i think that's a good idea. it would let more folk around the country see a premiership side up close and you'd get more shock knock-outs too; that's what the FA Cup is all about; minnows v giants
  18. can't believe some of the posts tonight - Jose got it spot on with those substitutions, second half there was only ever going to be one winner. Great result, thought Torres had a decent game, certainly looked like he was up for it from the get go. Mata and Schurrle just weren't making an impact, Jose was right to sub them. Blue is the Colour
  19. Agreed. Chelsea get little respect or praise from the football media, they just like a few controversial stories about us
  20. Talksports whole output today has been about how the scousers were robbed - especially on Etoo issues. Just had Dermot Gallagher on and he says - no early yellow card for Etoo was right, coming together with suarez was never a penalty. Better to have the views of a former ref than all the journos and pundits you can muster
  21. Have to say the standard of post match analysis on RAWK makes compelling reading! Lol
  22. of course the "media" reaction is partly down to the fact that Jose won; the storyline they would have liked would have been "Rodgers topples his mentor, Mourinho's home record broken, who's the special one now?"
  23. Suarez hardly had a nibble all game - Cahill masterclass
  24. The SKY commentary guys are wild biased. Lucas was within his rights to react like that joke
