i don't think we need to buy anyone but we do need to play at a higher tempo and we need our creative players to take a few more risks in attack - against "park the bus" teams like Newcastle and West Brom we look a bit frustrated, I wish we'd be more direct in our play from the start of games, really go for the jugular

more generally I'm concerned that we don't show enough creativity when a team like Newcastle or West Brom put 8 or 9 men between us and the goal - I'd like our creative players to take a few more risks, we seem to play a lot of passes across the front of the box with no one really prepared to take a defender on. Brana's role in our attacking play is becoming very predictable i'm just hoping we're not facing another miserable spell until Christmas like last year - seems when the winter ball is produced we can't win a game

Lukaku may not have looked great when he came on against Bayern but he is perfect for the Premiership. i dont think we'll ever understand some of the decisions that are made at Chelsea. loaning out Lukaku is plainly daft.

I think we'll regret letting Lukaku go and Moses too. We have strengthened both Liverpool and Everton - for whose benefit?

looking at all the results tonight there weren't any "upsets" - does this mean premiership clubs are falling in love with the League Cup again or is the gulf so great between the top flight and the lower divisions that even premiership B teams can't get turned over any more?
