  1. the other "weird" thing is that generally the people on the receiving end from Suarez have got on with the game, Parker and Ivanovic just two examples of players behaving with professionalism in the face of severe provocation. i still believe Suarez, having conceded a penalty, had it in his mind to try and trigger a retaliation from Ivanovic which undoubtedly would have led to a red card for Brana and a penalty for Liverpool. on this occasion he was clearly exposed on camera and his pathetic hobbling con act just adds to it. i am sure that serious Liverpool supporters share the widely held sense of disgust
  2. spot on - the guy is a danger to other professionals. but you know, when you watch those clips it's so clear that it is in his mind to hurt opponents all the time. most of those challenges he is making no effort at all to get the ball. it might be 10 matches this time but i'd wager that before next season is over we'll be going through another Suarez saga. if Liverpool had any sense they'd get rid of him sharpish but they're betting everything on him being the spark to their long awaited revival. quite sad really. Liverpool FC - once a great club
  3. please let this be true - although i wouldn't want to give up Courtois in a deal for Falcao
  4. i like that - it's innovative thinking
  5. two nights of very impressive, well organised German football - and they didn't feel the need to bite any of their opponents. Now that's class.
  6. the reaction from some liverpool fans and people like Carragher is laughable. do we want our national game despoiled by biting, gouging and sly off the ball kicks? no, i don't think any of us do. so the FA has to put a marker down that this is the line - no more. Liverpool folk are also saying why the lengthy ban when poor Luis needs help to overcome his rage - well anyone in that business will tell you the client needs to be committed to the process and typically it could take sessions over 13 weeks or more to secure a real change in thinking and behaviour. the 10 match ban gives Liverpool FC 4 months to sort this guy out - they need all of that time if Suarez is to learn how to play with honour. Justice for Ivanovic - prohibir la mierda
  7. I see the mistake you made there it should be coño pox-montado con dientes de conejo scouse de la madre. Should we start a Spanish for beginners thread?
  8. think i've started something - the possibilities are endless
  9. i'd love to see a big "Justice for Ivanovic" banner at the Bridge next time Loserpool visit
  10. what about this one from Hamburg? think it was a game against Celtic
  11. goes to show how hard our boys worked to win against Bayern last May -
  12. Justice for Ivanovic - prohibir la mierda
  13. Graham Poll should be reported to the FA for bringing the game into disrepute with these comments. He's simply saying if crowds get on a ref's case he'll not give their team correct decisions - disgraceful...
  14. can anyone tell me how many times this season we've lost or drawn after being in front? I'm convinced we back off once we get our noses in front and invite pressure on to the defence - not helped by FSW's inexplicable substitutions of course.
  15. my missus made a couple of good points tonight. firstly, she is in the counselling business by trade and she is saying "why all this talk about anger management?" his actions weren't the result of anger or a spontaneous angry outburst in response to some provocation, the bite was simply premeditated violence. i think she is right there. without a doubt Suarez wanted Brana to hit him back which would have resulted in a straight red for brana and a penalty for liverpool. the other point she made was - isn't it really pitiful that Liverpool feel they have to stake everything on keeping this one player? Says a lot about where that club really is....
  16. and we have Clattenberg for the game against Swansea on Sunday. Looks like the FA doesn't want us in the Champions League either...
  17. How Brana didn't lamp him is beyond me - he deserves a lot of respect for acting in a truly professional manner. I would like to see at least an 8 game ban for Suarez, certainly a ban that extends into next season. Now that he has admitted it, the FA only has to decide how long the ban will be. He's already had 8 matches for the Evra thing so perhaps that means he has to have more than 8 this time.....
  18. I agree of course that Suarez s a POS however I have a gripe with FSW yet again: we go 2-1 up and from then on our game plan is to hold on to a lead. how many times this season have we been in a winning positon but unable to hold out? Our friend RAFA leaves Torres on, who was completely ineffectual all game with the result that when under pressure we have no "out" ball. Ba should have been on for the last 15 minutes. As for Suarez, he derserves a substantial match ban and hopefully will get one that will extend into next season.
  19. I have the impression that when we get in front the whole team goes into energy conservation mode; become a little shy of making firm challenges; start looking to just do enough to get by. With the fixtures we've had this season I can't blame them but against a better team we could come unstuck. Nevertheless we are in the semi-finals of the Europa League and the FA Cup and we are third in the league, all in a season when at times we've looked pretty ropey. I think the players all need applauded, if we can dig deep and stay with it for another few weeks who knows what we might achieve.
  20. We look so much better when the tempo of the game is good. Lots of good performances tonight, we looked hungry for the win. Marin, I'm afraid, isn't up to it at the minute. Roll on Sunday.
  21. maybe he feels Premier League defences have him sussed - he looks much more like the thing in these European ties. Also thought Yossi had a great game.
  22. if he wants to play in England again it'll be at Chelsea; whether he'd cope being on the bench a lot or not as we freshen up the attack I'm not so sure
  23. i think there's a consensus here that the fat one is more interested in his CV than the future of Chelsea FC but, as Jason Cundy suggested tonight on Talksport, failing to get us into the CL next season would be a major blemish on that CV given the talent at his disposal. I think FSW is inept at times he hasn't sorted out how we can play effectively when Mata and Hazard are not on the pitch. If he'd have sorted that, which is mainly about how the midfield functions, Southampton wouldn't have been a problem. Still, it's essential we play our strongest 11 in all of the remaining Premier League games.
