JoeyN
Thought I would make this thread so we can be angry at all the teams in the knockout stages. Juventus 1-0 against Celtic after 3 minutes. LOL
Valerie
Good plan. I don't care about Juventus, but as Celtic fans sing that loathsome Dipper song , I all of a sudden support Juventus.
JoeyN
There's going to be a red card in this game. Really good so far.
SydneyChelsea
I can't put my finger on why I dislike Celtic. I think it's because the way their fans act makes them seem like the Liverpool of the north.
Tommy26
good, Lennon is a f**king useless manager, all this touting of him being one of the new great upcoming managers is total bullsh*t, pretty easy with no competition, reaching the last 16 of the CL shouldn't qualify as success
erskblue
Good result for Juventus last night. According to Alan Brazil it was all Celtic before Juventus scored their first goal. It should be noted Juventus scored in the first two minutes of the match
Charles Ryder
Were it not for another Ovreboesque performance from a UEFA official and a shocking selection at centre half (Ambrose immune to jet lag? lol), the result could have (and should have) been very different. AlexTommo
Psg looked certain until Valencia got a goal back and then Ibra got sent off.
Charles Ryder
It would be amusing if Real/United turned out to be a bore fest, it's being built up so much that it's almost bound to fall short of expectations.
SHELLY
It would be amusing if Real/United turned out to be a bore fest, it's being built up so much that it's almost bound to fall short of expectations. The press are creaming themselves over this...its borderline nauseating...I hate Ronaldo but I hope he tears his old club a new ar*ehole tonight... And Fergie spontaneously combusts on the touchline...
Davey Baby
Jose v Fergie. Old habits die hard and I'll be screaming for Madrid tonight.
Maksimov
Were it not for another Ovreboesque performance from a UEFA official... I don't think it was "Ovreboesque". Not even close. Celtic made silly mistakes and Juventus punished them for it. The scoreline flattered Juventus, but Celtic can only blame themselves.
ForeverCarefree
I'm gonna back Juve to win it. At least we then went out of the group with the eventual winners in it.
Maksimov
I'm gonna back Juve to win it. Would anyone bet against them now that they take a three goal away win to the second leg? Edited February 13, 2013 by Maksimov

Guest RFC_CFC
I thought Celtic played well last night, made Juve look average for large spells but it should be noted Juve don't travel well in the UK and played a perfect first leg away from home. The Nigerian centre half was brutal and cost 2 goals, no idea why he started when he was basically just off a long haul flight after the ACON.I loved how the stadium just went silent 3 minutes in lol.United I reckon will get a draw tonight, hope they get battered though. Maybe not the best of performances last night but efficient and more or less wrapped up the tie already. Might just have that little bit of luck needed to get through, with the exception of Barca I don't think any teams look significantly stronger than them. Teritus
Ah, quite right. I don't think they have what it takes. The scoreline flattered them and Celtic weren't even very good. They tried, though... One of the best midfields in Europe, good defenders (bar perhaps Bonucci) but quite an awful strikeforce. Vucinic is best as a second striker or winger but their other strikers simply aren't up to scratch. I doubt they will get too far but certainly a team to look out for. I'm backing Bayern to go the distance again, they look even better than last year.
Davey Baby
What I'd love to happen in this year's CL .. Celtic to come back to level the score on aggregate .. only to concede a phantom pen in the last minute. Neil Lennon's face. Pure joy. Bayern to absolutely hammer Arsenal. Real Madrid to beat Utd courtesy of a pen won by a Ronaldo dive, Fergie to go apoplectic afterwards, after years of telling us he didn't dive while he was at Utd. Barcelona to go down to an iffy decision. Puyol, Alves, Busquets and Mascherano all get sent off for protesting. Dortmund to win it.

Charles Ryder
I don't think it was "Ovreboesque". Not even close. Celtic made silly mistakes and Juventus punished them for it. The scoreline flattered Juventus, but Celtic can only blame themselves. Perhaps not Ovreboesque (my own bias was showing through with a wee bit with that comment ) but his handling of Lichtsteiner was comical. I agree that Celtic only have themselves to blame in that they played right into Juve's hands, the gung-ho approach was a bit naive, necessitated somewhat by the early opener, granted, but naive all the same. Juve were always going to be content to sit back and see how things panned out, they're built perfectly for that sort of game plan. Celtic lack quality in the final third, Hooper is a decent striker but he was never going to get the better of the likes of Barzagli or Bonnuci. The decision to start Ambrose was farcical, frankly. Mulgrew should have started at centre half alongside Wilson, with Ledley starting in midfield.
Teritus
Yeah, it was pretty funny seeing Hooper and Lichsteiner battling it out during corners all night. Edited February 13, 2013 by Teritus
timetowaste
Juve have always been my second team (apart from before 97 when they were my first team) so I hope they win it. Still though, the CL is soooo last year, it's all about the Europa League this season, it's what the real clubs want to win.
