So i have just watched an interview sky sports done with drogba ahead of the Galatsary Madrid game , and when asked about who he thinks our next manager should be he swiftly agreed with all us blues in saying Mourinho is clearly the only right choice , Then when asked about the possibility or returning to the bridge if jose was to come back home he failed to rule it out by saying 'Why not'.

So i was just wondering what your opinions on Didier returning where , comsidering he left on the highest high possible by single handedly winning us the champions league and fa cup double , whether it is worth coming back because he simply cannot do anymore at chelsea and with him being back it would seemingly reduce the opportunities of players like Ba and Lukaku who i feel need a good run of games to really show that they can step up to lead the chelsea line.

So do you think it would be a good idea to come back or just leave it knowing he is already a legend at the bridge

He's hardly going to see anything else is he but I wouldn't want him back to be honest. He's won more or less everything he can with us and like you mentioned bringing him back would just get in the way of Lukaku. Maybe if he put in more convincing performances in the league in his last season I would be more inclined at least entertain the idea but he didn't so as it stands I hope it never happens.

I'm going to assume he meant as a coach or something cause that's the only way I can see him coming back.

He left at the perfect time. Anything now would be a anti climax. I think it would be wrong for him to return. That penalty should always be the crowning moment!

Bang on. I'm delighted he went when he did,on top.

The reports I read today seemed to talk about him coming back in a coaching role

Coaching or some "ambassador" role? Yes! As a player? No! The end was so perfect.

Correct

Correct that that's what the reports  said, or correct that he IS coming back in a coaching role?

Correct

SO Cryptic!

Anyway,I agree, a coaching role would be ideal.  As a player he can't come back, he's gone out with the final kick that won us the CL, nothing is better.  Plus, if he comes back would he be happy on the bench or would he be thwarting the progress of someone like Lukaku?

I know he left in the perfect way and all that malarky but after watching him tonight I MISS HIM SO MUCH PLEASE BRING HIM BACK HOME ;;;;;-(((((((((

No seriously though, I think he could still be an option for us and would still be able to fit in well, its just a question of whether or not he will accept being rotated. Alot of people are talking about Mazacar and one perfect striker but as its already been proved this season (eg. Saturday vs. Southampton) that our squad needs more depth and more options available to us - and if the man still wants to play for us then no one should deny him that right after all he has done!

Correct in that the report quoted him as saying "Let me finish at Galatasaray first then we will talk about that. It would be nice, not just coaching but to help the club. I gave everything for that club and, of course, they gave it back to me"

Should've offered him a contract he couldn't refuse Mak

We don't know if money could've make him change his mind.It seems like he had his mind made up.

I'm sure he could've done a job for us this season, but like I said earlier, his Chelsea career got the fairy tale ending it deserved. With his last kick of a football for the club, he won the first Champions League trophy for Chelsea. It's such a perfect way to say goodbye to the club, that you couldn't write a better one.

on the evidence of tonight, id say he definitely left at the right time. didnt look good

Looked about 565 million times better than Torres.

He would still be real useful as a super sub in my opinion. Tonight's match was a bad indication of what he has left, he's got to do too much on his own in the galatasaray side. Having him fresh for 10 minutes at the end of a match say when we need a goal would be effective I think, bring back DiDi!!!

Ps how come I shed no tears for a girl friend I was with for like 5 years yet I cannot move on from Jose and Didier :(

Because you're a closet homosexual?

I'd have him back as a coach but not as a player.

Why would you want to change the fact that the last time you ever kicked a ball in a Chelsea shirt was the kick that won the club it's first ever European Cup?

We should never take Drogba back as a player - as others have already mentioned, his method of departure was superb. A lot of people seem to have short or blinkered memories, too - Drogs tended to do really well in the big games, but often went missing against 'lesser' sides. Ba is currently the better option by far.

Having said that, I loved what Drogs did for Chelsea, and a future coaching role for him at the Bridge would be great!
