I will help you out Alonso is twice the player Mikel will ever be . Did I say twice? Feeling generous.

Hold on lets hear brain of Britains comparison of Mikel and Alonso - should be worth the wait ...........................................................................AND THEN WE CAN TAKE YOU SERIOUSLY Of course I mixed up Xavi who is in Lampards class with Alonso . All far better than Obi though . Here is a clue .................. Xavi,Lampard,Alonso,Iniesta,Gerrard,Makelele are class . Mikel is not . HTH .

Mikel - every bit as promising a talent as Fabregas
Barcelona playmaker Ronaldinho has been named Fifa's World Player of the Year for the second consecutive season. The Brazilian gained 960 points in the poll of national coaches and captains. Chelsea and England midfielder Frank Lampard was second with 429 points and Ronaldinho's Barca team-mate, Samuel Eto'o of Cameroon, third with 190. SFL, on 13 Apr 2013 - 14:19, said: f**king lol. And you wonder why people don't take you seriously? PMSL . Come back to me when your Xavi has got anywhere near that .

John Obi Mikel Appreciation Thread
what you miss, and again it is because of your idea of how defending works is fairly basic, is positional interchange. mikel actually doesn't do well in this goal he as he doesn't know what's behind him Agree with this bit ,ball watching all good DM's are aware of runners coming from deep or wide positions into dangerous areas ,Maka was brilliant at this .

I like the bit that says every midfielder is taught to cover the penalty spot The penalty spot scores loads of goals ,meanwhile Willian is like the pantomime villain ,Behind you . It is called ball watching ,one of Mikel's favourite past times .

Ramires appreciation thread
As for Rammy - anybody remember Coiln Bell? Reminds me of Rammy ,his nickname was Nijinsky (after the horse not the ballet dancer) .

Makes me laugh re - Lampard and his goals, everybody seems to think without the goals he is not a player ,when he is a class all round midfield player ,the ball for Torres v Rubin was a pass only the best could see let alone execute.

Anybody know, remember two Chelsea supporting girls?looked like twin sisters black long hair and always had blue and white ribbons tied in their hair in the eighties/nineties. Maybe it was only me who noticed them? Used to see them East Stand area.

Chelsea v Man City (FA Cup) 14/04/13 KO 16:00 BST
Twisted blood mazacar ,Toure made him look what he is ,very average. The goal will live long in the memory a holding midfielder of any quality would be distraught at letting someone walk past in that area,do not like this match up at all for tomorrow ,lets hope the three magicians are on fire .

The good guys are well on top now . Goal coming .- Ramires appreciation thread
Agree with the latter about the Mata,Oscar,Hazard combi firing ,they won us the games at Spurs and Arsenal and the comeback at Utd was down to them . When we get on the front foot and push up we are at our best and Ramires is central to that .- FA Youth Cup Thread 2012/13
All Liverpool so far they could be two up .- Mikel - every bit as promising a talent as Fabregas
TBF six years ago I was hoping for the midfielder we all wanted and hoped for ,however six years ago is a long it and it aint happened . The way some go on you would think he has done the business and been a top player.- Ramires appreciation thread
And the pass v Rubin for Zorres ,still drooling .- Ramires appreciation thread
Oh there is definitely and argument ,West Ham away, Mikel and Ramires was our worst performance this season and Everton away possibly our best ,those goals do come in handy ,a priceless commodity.- Ramires appreciation thread
Rammy has been our driving force of late ,his passing stats against Sunderland read better than many imagine. . Him and Frank are our best pair ,energy, bite and class is a great mixture .- John Obi Mikel Appreciation Thread
PloKoon13 Posted Today, 10:14 AM An Untouchable Members DONATOR Ironically stamford_blue speaks more truth when being sarcastic than he does when he spends hours searching for an opinion on WhoScored. As effective and as hard-working as he was defensively (for the most part), watching Ake's clumsiness on the ball last night made me appreciate Mikel's contribution and tidiness all the more. Lampard was worse than both. Mikel has never in six years played a pass as Lampard did for Torres goal, vision ,1st touch, class is permanent .- MOTM vs Sunderland (H) (PL)
Lampard v Rubin Kazan a great example of this, ball into him ,he has already seen the first time ball is on to Torres in behind their defence ,no need for two touches and a sideways pass ,perfect 1st time ball into Torres path (this is what he fed on at Liverpool ) goal . Now that sort of pass gets you a man of the match ,not taking two touches under no pressure and rolling oh so slow passes to the full backs. - Liverpool v Chelsea (FAY) 12/04/13 KO 19:45 GMT
