Why Poll (left) thinks anyone should listen to the opinion of a jumped up, ego-crazed, bungling ex-referee on the subject of the England captaincy is beyond me. Anyway, the real reason Poll dislikes Terry is obvious. It's because the England skipper refused to indulge Poll's pathetic fantasy about being best mates with all the top players. The truth is that the blame for a lot of the stick coming the way of referees these days should be laid at Poll's door. He led the way in trying to turn referees into stars at the heart of the action when they should always remain on the periphery. Now the men he's left behind are paying the price for Poll's wish to be a star.

Truely tragic news out of all the stories of people dying recently (morbid I know, the only way to sum it up for me though) this has shocked me the most. 22 and a heart attack... he must have been getting regular check ups by Seville like I'm sure most footballers do for their club. See them on heart monitors all the time Wishes go to his family.

Hmm... I don't think I said anything about us playing before them this season. I said last season they constantly had that mental advantage over us because they played first and had the chance to expand the gap. I hope that doesn't happen again.

The Mancs are playing on Saturday and us on Sunday, meaning they can go two points behind. Why don't we just play on the same bloody day, it seems last season they kept on playing before us meaning phycologically they were better off and I think affected us in the end.

We're all (well most of us, including Rob) Chelsea fans first and foremost here, but do you have a team you 'casually' support? Or just look out for their results? Maybe in La Liga, Bundesliga, Serie A, Ligue 1 etc.. Or in the Championship or other English divisions? I've followed Espanyol's progress for 5 or so years now as in Spain they are our local team [either them or Barca ] and was gutted when they lost in the UEFA cup final last season. Also have a soft spot for Charlton, so always look out for their results.

That 11 year old who got gunned down whilst on his way home from football the other day was an Everton fan. The club invited the parents to the ground for this game and just saw then next to Moyes during a minutes round of applause. When he was over Moyes helped them along back down the tunnel. Call it publicity if you want to be cynical, but a nice gesture for the parents. Classy club, wouldn't think they're Scousers, certainly makes up for their rancid neighbours. Come on Everton.
