Eden Hazard - Chelsea Legend
Pipe down. I'm free to give my opinions and there are plenty of people who would do the same with regards to Mourinho. Where did I say he doesn't develop players? I'm saying there are other managers out there who are better at developing them who don't have a record of publicly going out & criticising them. But to answer your questions: Made Ronaldo into a better player; they then had a falling out with Mourinho constantly making some public criticisms. He lost the dressing room with Madrid. Great management there. Gave Varane his chance because he had no other option. Average players? Mourinho inherited the golden generation of Portuguese players there who had great potential. No idea where you got that idea that they were all average. I've been playing pretty much every game for the whole season, to which I then got injured at some point. The game in which I come back from injury and rushed to come back from, I am then publically criticised by my manager for also doing things that is totally new to me. What would I do? I'd definitely be pissed off.

I don't know what you mean by that -- Hazard isn't in the right sport? There are plenty of managers who don't don't do that kind of stuff publicly -- those who have a better record at developing players as well. It's the second time he's done this with Hazard. Mancini is also well known for doing this and the players eventually got fed up. I think he's being harsh and somewhat unreasonable with Hazard considering the circumstances.

Criticism is fine; I expect that but why is he telling the media all this? As far as forever praising a player goes, I'm not sure if I've heard that publicly myself. It worked with Joe Cole but it's still a risk nonetheless. Hazard is really our best player too so I wouldn't want him to be pissed off like this when the issue can be address privately, no? Asking a lot of a player who probably has never had to defend as much before, to suddenly have to have defensive instincts to track player runs and be aware in those situations. Needs time to develop that too really. There's the fact that Hazard was rushing to be fit for this game as well. So I don't see why he's blaming him when he obviously tried his hardest to be ready for that game?

I worry about any potential tension. Should be kept in private I feel but I hope they sort everything out. Not sure what was the need to go out in public and say that.

Newcastle fans seem to be disillusioned with the idea that they're a big club

José Mourinho Confirmed as Chelsea Manager!
I'm sure Hazard would love to learn from the genius that is Laurent Blanc. Not sure what on earth the appeal there would be over here?

The Deep-Lying Playmaker Thread
If we keep him I feel Oscar will eventually develop into a more central mid player, but not just yet.

Champions League 2013/14
Yeah shame. I really like him. I really really hope they win the league this year though to break the duopoly --even if temporary-- that exists there. Add to what was mentioned, because of third party agreements they only manage to coup 50% of the transfer fee when selling (Aguero, Falcao, and in the future Costa). I don't know how long they will last either, ~£500M to creditors and tax authorities is a lot of money and will probably take longer than a decade to pay off

Champions League 2013/14
Nah, won't happen. The club has only remained afloat because of tax concessions made by the government. They have an incredible crop of players at the moment but the financial predicament means Atletico is a selling club and will be for a long time to come. Winning the CL and LL will allow them to run with their current team for borrowed time, but they will have to sell a lot eventually.

Diego Costa to Chelsea
Balotelli would be a great striker if he could sort himself out. Unfortunately I don't think that would happen. More talent than Costa though, for sure.

Different approaches between the managers though and i haven't heard him say anything critical about Carlo? Looking at what was said again not exactly the same, but it's well known Ronaldo was critical of Mourinho's tactics. They even had a falling out last year because of that partly. Here's one from a few years back too http://www.theguardian.com/football/2011/apr/28/cristiano-ronaldo-jose-mourinho-defensive -- But it looks like Haz's comments look more clarified now. no

It's likely a mistranslation if it's from beIN sport (france). Anyone know the quote in french? If it was in english though then I'd be more... idk what the word is but confused/surprised?

Diego Costa to Chelsea
Cavani did nothing against us in either game at PSG though. Suarez does nothing in the big games. Doesn't mean anything really. We already do well enough in the big games
-
Paulinho
Moutinho would have been great. From the start of the season I wanted him and De Rossi to come. We got Matic instead of the latter which is just as good, but idk who who'll get instead of the former.
-
Paulinho
The last thing we need is to spend another 20 odd million on just a decent player. What issues would he solve for us? Distribution? No. Lack of goals? No. Maybe if he was just 10m or so.

lol!

Chelsea v Atletico - (CL SF 2nd Leg) 30/04/14 KO 19:45 BST
Real or Atletico? Real win and we'll never hear the end of it wrt people criticising José. If Atletico win though then Costa may be tempted to stay... I think the money they get would allow them to keep more of their players for a bit longer.

Chelsea v Atletico - (CL SF 2nd Leg) 30/04/14 KO 19:45 BST
So we've been dominant in the first half and scored 1 (at home), they've been dominant and scored 3 (and they're the away team). Now let's compare the budgets and how much this team cost yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Chelsea v Atletico - (CL SF 2nd Leg) 30/04/14 KO 19:45 BST
We really shouldn't be conceding 3 f**king goals at home and only scoring 1 in return. Wow
