Chelsea v Man Utd U21 Final 14/5/14 19:45 BST
Couldn't quite tell. Was baker more of an attacking mid or central? Be good if he was central although he looked comfortable throughout.

Diego Costa to Chelsea
Understandable. As long as he isn't racist then I'm fine with it though.

Diego Costa to Chelsea
I know people don't like his antics but the thought of actually having a top striker here feels great. Feels like a decade when it's only been 2 years lol.

Diego Costa to Chelsea
SSN have just said we've spent 32m on costa.

England World Cup Squad
I'm talking about England. Cahill/Jagielka have played most of the friendlies & qualifiers together so must've build some kind of understanding with one another. Well I can just go & say I know many who rate him as their best CB. Moyes has rotated their defence so much though and he's been forced to play RB a lot of times where he's been quite poor. But he's a reliable footballer I feel, as well as being good at defending he's intelligent, good reader of the game. Jagielka has never been good enough for England's aspiration that why he's only just getting into the team and has spent his entire career at Everton. He's not good enough and at 31 years of age (will be close to 32 in the WC) never will be. I doubt you'll even get more than 1 tournament out of him. Then who are you going to replace him with? Unless someone comes out of the woodwork, Jones or Smalling, and based on current ability that is Smalling at CB. Playing tournament to tournament has been one of the biggest criticism of England's selection policy. If Jag was 26 or 27 then fine. Although tbf I wouldn't be averse to the likes of, say Caulker, there either instead of Smalling. Yes Flan has better as a fullback. I disagree on stones though. Don't think he's anywhere near ready.

No, out of the options that can play RB (Smalling, Jones) and have been selected, he's the best one. People see this as a negative that he's picked because of a lot of his poor Liverpool performances but he actually does quite well for England in comparison. Wouldn't go as far to call him a liability. There has been a problem with RBs in England for ages now. But there's no-one really better than him at the moment so not sure why I've seen so many complaints? With Liverpool, both the full backs can go berserk with darting runs which leave acres of space behind them - probably one of the reasons why the midfielders get so much time on the ball. Rodgers allows that. Not like that with England though; I don't think Roy would want that & with more leaders in the team he'd be better instructed on what to do and won't venture as much. I think he'll be a lot better defensively. No idea why people say stuff like this. Too late to have him build a partnership with Cahill I guess now but like I said, he's a good player when at CB and if Jagielka were to get injured I would have no problem with him being there. Perhaps watch some more United games? Are you one of those who looked at some games where he's played as a RB & then judged him?

Nothing wrong with Smalling at all. He's a good CB and in fact I'd rather have him paired with Cahill than Jagielka. And yes Johnson does play a lot better for England than Liverpool (don't see what's surprising about that statement considering the options we have?); I am more worried about the left side than the right really.

Saw this comment on one of the Telegraph articles about the squad: Wayne Rooney will be first case of Spontaneous human combustion caught on camera...when Brazilian sun meets all that blubber ...

Johnson plays better for England than he does for Liverpool strangely though I think Chambers should go really.

Next Season the return of the loanees
well he had a 10 match suspension, is he going to be brought back in straight away and receive the same game time, esp. when they have other guys who are doing well? And why would he play as much when he isn't going to be there next season? but yes Kalas esp. looks better.

Oscar - Little Diamond
As many have suggested Oscar as a BBM or a DLP should be the way more often (although he needs to stay in position moreso though as he tends to drift out wide which could make us susceptible to the counter attack). Oscar doesn't look like he runs through t through the opposition, but he can keep the tempo going and make surging late runs or find the right pass. Nonetheless, yesterday, while he wasn't showing his best form, seem to be the kind of player that plays for Brazil really.

England World Cup Squad
Barkley Lampard Milner Lallana Henderson in, according to twitter. No Carrick/Cleverley either. Shame Cole won't be going. Shaw going doesn't fill me the best of confidence; in fact I think Gibbs would be a better option. edit: this is rumored to be the full squad Hart, Foster, Ruddy Johnson, Jones, Cahill, Jagielka, Smalling, Baines, Shaw Henderson, Lallana, Gerrard, Wilshere, Lampard, Oxlade Chamberlain, Milner, Sterling, Barkley Sturridge, Rooney, Welbeck, Lambert

How to pronounce Eden Hazard?
Yeah the r which sounds a bit like a light 'h' with it.
-
Luke Shaw, Ashley Cole's Successor?
United have put in a 27m bid according to SSN for Shaw. They'll probably reject it and ask for 30m. Let's hijack it

Next Season the return of the loanees
If he doesn't make it next season I don't think he ever will here. Especially if he's loaned out to a Championship club.

Next Season the return of the loanees
Thorgan the most should return. That will not happen though.

Cardiff City v Chelsea (PL) 11/05/14 KO 15:00 BST
Salah has been quite poor though. What's wrong with that? Haven't seen anyone say Hazard wants to leave. Oscar, well, fair enough there but it doesn't mean we can't get a lot better.

That was more rhetorical. I mean I can't believe we've spent that much to only have to do yet another overhaul/clearout. Good job Schurrle.
