Agree on a lot of points, although I think it's best to judge after the end of next season (to see on what fronts we may or may not improve). Other managers (i.e Rodgers) have had time to build their squads and didn't always achieve success in their first year. odd comparison. Deco, although decent, wasn't the same of the player he was in his earlier years when he moved to Chelsea and they had better available. Ronaldinho didn't give a **** anymore either and moved him to allow Messi to have the more focused role at Barcelona.

Well people want a CM because they're frustrated with Ramires lack of distribution as well passing etc. Got 9 assists playing in the deeper role this season. In our team I think I think that Oscar Hazard and to some extent Willian all provide versatility with good passing ability in the middle third, they're no Mata in terms of the final ball but they're good at the build up play before the final ball. The final passing would come from the DLP/CM. Alonso and Modric are very good at killing teams off with midfield and defence splitting through balls as they've often showed; and I actually think Pardo's passing is on a similar level to Alonso. Very young as well. Would be a great DLP. Only thing is his stamina isn't that great (yet?). Not the best indication of quality but aside from La Liga he played very well against Manchester United as well. Rakitic would be a good acquisition as well of course. He enjoys bursting forward more though and would be more of a goal threat with less inclination to make long passes like Pardo would. Would be happy with either though! I reckon the best looking for a guy who can help dictate the tempo but has a lot of energy to burst into the box and be combative when needed. Really what we need it a 25 y/o Lampard tbh. If only. Seems like Ramsey is the closest guy to him so far but we're obviously not going to get him.

Yeah a CM (Pardo), ST (Got one now) & an LB. Don't want to buy Shaw so Moreno would be ideal. Courtois Dave Cahill Terry Shaw Pardo Matic Willian Hazard Schurrle Costa I'd like Schurrle to start since he's very good on the left. Hazard moves centrally and Willian on the right. I think Oscar will be the #10 but if he doesn't return to form well then that's what I'd like to see.
