Rate Our Signings This Season
Salah just looks like a space exploiter - so does Schurrle however he is a very composed finisher as we've seen. If we have too many space exploiters then we would struggle to break down teams who will narrow the space as much as possible as we play through the middle more than using width. CP was the key example. His speed doesn't look like it'd help there.

Update 13.05.14: Terry Signs New 1 Year Deal
Terry has been the best CB in the league. No way we should let him go.

The Great Summer Clear Out!
Mourinho says one or two big signings will be made. I assume one is Costa. Not sure who the other is really. But I hope he isn't content with the product that some of our players are giving. I feel Schurrle will become a good signing. Willian is the kind of guy to bring on when the opposition is tired. Oscar? No idea with him. Will he re-gain his form? Was never keen on Salah and I don't think he'll become a top signing. My ideal list of "ins" (made some before but that was sort of a joke) Costa (feel like this has already happened), Lukaku, Courtois, Shaw, Pardo, Griezmann. Some have been suggesting Gotze with Oscar going out. Would prefer to see how well Oscar can improve and it's not as if Bayern will sell. If we get Griezmann as well we can shift Hazard centrally (where I feel some of his best play has come from). Don't think Thorgan will be here either shamefully. .

The Great Summer Clear Out!
I like Willian, but for 30m is it too much to ask for some more product in the final third?

Mario Götze

Lost it at the first comment They can't be serious?

Top 3 Strikers you feared
Aside from that, Torres. Think we were playing Pool a few seasons back, looking like a 0-0 then he suddenly scores a brace in stoppage time.
- Mario Götze

Barkley still looking good though. If Lukaku isn't willing to fight for his place and we get costa, then maybe we could do some kind of exchange?
-
Mario Götze
Not a joke at all? Draxler is/was better than Gotze was at 18/19.

1-1. So confused now.

Following Our Nearest and Dearest Rivals, 2013-14
If we get some loads of goals vs Norwich and Cardiff (who are now relegated), then Liverpool could afford a draw to CP? Shame we don't have the head to head system
-
Mario Götze
Draxler has more potential than this guy.

Eden Hazard - Chelsea Legend
Guess we'll have to agree to disagree then. Wtf? If anything, you're the one who's failed to respond to my comment which I addressed you with? Your question was who was better at developing players; I've answered as well as answering to your other comments below that question and says the person who said that the Porto players were all average before Mourinho. It doesn't sound like you have much of an idea what you're talking about really?

Eden Hazard - Chelsea Legend
In public? 'Of course there is criticism,' he said. 'The criticism has come from all directions. What you have to do as manager of our club is to make sure the criticism remains inside your doors. 'I am unremitting in that respect. Totally unequivocal. My stance is there and it doesn't change. You don't criticise any Manchester United player outside the doors. I have never done and I won't.' I remember him criticising Ronaldo at one point but that's because he was getting a bit big-headed towards the end. But what Mourinho is saying to Haz, considering the circumstances, is harsh IMO.

Who? Just about every good manager out there? Ferguson? Wenger? Klopp? Has Ferguson ever gone and said Ronaldo doesn't do this for the team, especially when he'd been out for a while? Mourinho develops players who already were very good to start with anyways, but that's not important here. Ozil is a very odd example to give as well; that development and that expecting more responsibility from him is what Özil has missed in the last three years with Mourinho. He has become a world-class player, yes, but he hasn't developed as a player. In fact he's still the player he was at 21 with the same weaknesses - the same exaggerated altruism, the same adversity to taking risks in front of the goal, the same "shyness" to take responsibility in big games-, with the difference of being used to the big guys more and perhaps having brought a few backheel/bubble gum tricks to perfection.
