If you think we're going to play youth / loanees, than you're an idiot  :laugh2:

We'll spend another £80M and send most of the loanees back out on loan.

Lukaku is the obvious one for me.

The other is Thorgan Hazard. A lot of people say he's nothing special, he's just Eden Hazard's brother. I'm not so sure, he definitely has something about him. 15 goals and 20 assists this season. Yes i know it's in a poor league, but we loaned him there for a reason. If a loan player does what is asked of him then you reward that player right ?

Posted

I hope Thorgan comes but does he need a loan in England first?

If he doesn't make it next season I don't think he ever will here. Especially if he's loaned out to a Championship club.

Chalobah, Kane, Wallace, Bamford and Traoré, all good talents but they'll go out on loan again next season. Others like Kakuta and Moses will surely leave, Lukaku needs to stay next season, I'm unsure on Courtois, he's a great keeper but so is Cech. I think Piazon, Atsu and Patrick Van Aanholt all have a chance of staying next season, Atsu had a great season for Vitesse, he was their player of the season, and if Cole leaves, I see no point in signing Shaw when we have Aanholt. I forgot about Hutchinson, God knows what's going on with him, he's nearly 25 and he still spends seasons on loan, he can't shake off niggling injury’s

Courtois

Lukaku

Bertrand/PVA, would prefer to keep both but that seems unlikely. In which cause I would prefer Bertrand as he's English.

Josh

Piazon/Hazard, not fussed which.

Chalobah/Romeu, I think Romeu is better but Chalobah has more potential plus he's English.

I think only Courtois will be coming back for certain though.

Bertrand has been given chances, and he hasn't been good enough, he certainly hasn't been good enough for Aston Villa, Aanholt is a better talent. Piazon had a decent season, playing in a better league than Hazard

Bertrand has been good in 99% percent of the matches he has played for us.

Yet he was still loaned out, he hasn't been impressive for Villa, Aanholt is younger and better

Not sure which Bertrand you've been watching but he's always been a solid performer for us, the problem was he was rarely outstanding which is why people think we can do better.

Aston Villa have one of the worst defences in the league, they have conceded as much as Norwich to put it into perspective. He's barely played for 6 months and goes out on loan to a team in shambles defensively and you are expecting him to do what exactly? Steady the ship? Well he's done the best he can, he's performed better than the majority of their defenders.

PVA would be better if he could defend half as good as Bertrand has for us on a consistent basis.

Dont see any room in our squad for most of the players out on loan, some should be sold while others need to go out on loan again. Would like to see Hazard and maybe even Piazon get a loan spell in the Premiership.

Should be noted I havent seen Zouma play so I have no whether hes any good

Zouma has barely played since we signed him and he's extremely raw, seems like an all power no brains kind of defender from what I've seen if I'm perfectly honest. Ake and Kalas are better prospects.

The same Bertrand that you've been watching, I will admit that he's been a solid player for us. Aanholt has barely been given a chance at Chelsea, but he had a fantastic season for Vitesse, and I'm sure that he's ready to step up, he's quicker than Bertrand, he's dangerous going forward and solid in defence

What is this Bertrand has been given chances and failed bullsh*t? I really can't think of a foot he's put wrong.

I didn't mean that he'd failed, but I think there are better prospects than him

Nothing wrong with thinking PVA is better but until he actually plays for us you can't just write off Bertrand like that, PVA would do well to put in the performances Bertrand has for us over the years. In fact if he did I'm sure plenty on here would be raving about him.

Who would you say PVA? Or are you talking outside the club

I've been really impressed by PVA, he had a solid season for Vitesse, I liked the look of him when he played a few games for us, and he's improved

Fair enough, it'll be interesting to see what happens to Bertrand and PVA next season

For me it has to be:

Lukaku, Yes - I feel that time has come for him to be given a chance. Not necessarily as first choice but at some point we have to integrate him into our team and not let him play as part of other teams. No, he isn't the finished article but I don't think he ever will be if we keep letting him go out to different teams.

Courtois, Yes - Ideally I'd like he and Cech to battle it out with the view of Courtois becoming our regular keeper. However, I am aware that this may not be entirely possible due to FFP etc. I'm just worried that we will miss out on (although again, not perfect) a world class keeper with a long career ahead of him. Jose is the right man to make such a tough call and I have absolute faith he will make the one best for the club, but if it was me Courtois would be here come September.

Zouma, Maybe - It feels that it would be silly to drastically alter our defensive line next season, particularly after how well it has done in the second half of the season. I would like to see Kalas given more of a shot next season after what I've seen of him and Jose obviously thinks he makes a good partner for Ivan in the center but if not Kalas then Zouma seems a good alternative.

Chalobah, Maybe - If Frank goes, which I really will be sad to see, I think we should give Nat some gametime, allow him to settle into the squad. I'm certainly not suggesting we have him as a first choice but at some point we have to take the risk and he could be helpful as a squad player.

Bertrand, Maybe - Always been a big fan of Ryan, and he's done well when called upon. I have been a little disappointed to see how he has performed at Aston Villa but it would take more than the inclusion of a decent left-back to shore them up. Whatever happens, I wish him all the best.

Piazon/T. Hazard, Maybe - I'd like to see one of these two with some game time next season. Both appear to have performed well in their respective leagues. I'd much rather see either one rather than Marin or Moses but I'm not sure there's much need for any changes to our AMs unless one is shipped on.

Wallace, Unlikely - The only way I could see this happening is if Jose decides to put Ivan back into the center, Azpili back into his rightful place and doesn't want to splash out on a backup. Even so I would be surprised to see him in a Chelsea shirt next season. Also, I'm not 100% he has a work permit, can anyone confirm?
