Him and Matic can prove to be a good combo. Plus he is a brazlilian so he would settle pretty quickly.And not to mention this is his first year in PL he'll improve.And he can come at cheap price compared to other alternatives. April 30, 201411 yr Want. Have not seen the best of him at Tottenham, but he is a good player. Think at the moment he is essentially in managerless team. He was highly regarded at Corinthians and had a good manager coaching him. I think he'd thrive under Mourinho, especially as he doesn't seem to have an ego. Would be nice alongside Matic in my opinion and is an upgrade on Ramires. Obviously would love somebody like Pogba, but that's a pipe dream. This is realistic and would improve us. Good to get it done before the World Cup too as I think he'll have a good one.

I have always found Paulinho to be one of those jack of trades kind of midfielder meaning he can do everything well but isn't great at any of them. We were strongly linked with him January of 2013 (along with several clubs) so our scouts must of not been sure about him and his price hence he ended up at Spurs. I dont mind him i can see why Mourinho would want him, seems like his type of midfielder however i would rather have a more technical type player in there. We seemed to be buying alot of athletic players. Also like Scott Harris said i cant see Spurs selling him to us just for money, i think they would want Lukaku as part of the deal so that would be a big no for me.
April 30, 201411 yr think this is nonsense. Spurs wouldn't risk egg on their face selling to us at a reasonable price, and we wouldn't over pay for a player we really dont need.

I was one of the ones who wanted him at the time if we couldn't get the likes of Moutinho and MVG but now that we have Matic, MVG, etc, I'm not so sure it's worth it.

From the start of the season I wanted him and De Rossi to come. We got Matic instead of the latter which is just as good, but idk who who'll get instead of the former.

It's painful watching him waste his time in France.

They do have alot of centre midfielder though, i feel they do need to get rid of 1 or two especially if they need to add funds. April 30, 201411 yr I just think we'd be the last club they would do business with, just look at the Modric saga. It would be a heavily inflated price for us and reasonable for others, that's how spuds and levy work
May 1, 201411 yr Yeah never gonna happen. Firstly, he's not good enough. He's way too lazy and irresponsible. Secondly, probably not a good idea to bring in another Brazilian. Last but not least spuds don't even discus business with us. And now after the Willian 'he hates Tottenham' saga I bet they would rather let him do a Bogarde than sell anyone to us.
