  1. The thing is he's probably looked at how well Nelson, Sancho (who recently spoke with him), Gnabry (when he's fit) and Lookman and seen how well they've done and much exposure they've gotten, and thinks that, if he's just as talented (or better) than them, he might see a similar result. It's annoying that we never played him early on but even then, he's still just a youth player and will undoubtedly get a lot of game time with number of injuries that Chelsea is having atm.

No worry we might be stuck with him if we don't get Higuain

  4. I've checked other forums for Bayern supporters and supposedly they've never spoken about a player like this when they he isn't bought after. Otherwise no need to be so public about that
  5. The system clearly needs somebody who's willing to run and break the lines, but our best player in Hazard cannot do that since he's been playing in the false #9. Not that I think he's not good enough for that role but it compromised the play elsewhere. Sarri persisting with Barkley all season though. Jorginho needs to be a fair bit more ruthless overall; he's alright at directing (and organising) the player but unlike Fabregas he's not able to provide those important ball-throughs. Really it shouldn't be coming from him and should come from the 3rd midfielder, but Barkley being continually played for a weird reason constitutes to this issue.
  6. It never was reported farther than Liverpool wanted to pay 3m, we wanted about 7m more than that
  7. what the f**k have they done that makes them pay this much?
  8. Lord imagine if Liverpool ended up winning the title and Man City the CL. I think that would be a worse season than when we finished 10th or 11th.

Concerns for Fekir are definitely due to injury (which is why Liverpool did not end up signing him) but he's undoubtedly shown his quality against Monaco when they were in good form and some of the better French teams. In the world cup, he mostly came on as a sub (e.g in the 83min when France beat Argentina). Guy was never going to start when he has one of the world's best in Griezmann there. I would be happy to sign him as he does score, although one of those that if we don't, it's not a huge deal

    1) They wanted 80m for him now, reason is the squad is small so want the biggest if they are to win the title.

What is the point in partially quoting a response that heavily relates to a bigger one? Chelseabear referred to the idea of echoing complaints about signing a player like this as 'throwing your toys out of a pram'. My counter is that Chelsea fan has every right to complain when many fans from the seller club have voice concerns and complaints that make the idea of this transfer questionable. This is beyond throwing your toys out of a pram -- it's drawing criticism of a transfer that might very possibly not work in our favour. What else do we have to go on? Simply sit and accept 'well lets see how he does' rather than expressing disgruntlement? You are aware this is a forum for discussion ? So yes, if you want to partially quote something like that, you should perhaps examine more carefully why a comment like that was given in the first place so you don't make any comments that don't address what was being stated. What right do you have to complain? Why do you think you are entitled to anything from the club other than players doing their best on the pitch? Why does the club owe you anything? I'm not sure if I'm reading this correctly, but what in the blue hell are you even trying to suggest here? This seems like a total strawman. Nobody said anything about the club owing somebody something personally -- the remit of the Chelsea board was not what my comment was addressing. In any case, football exists partially as a business - of which the fans are what contribute to such a business. If there are things that the fans are not happy about, why don't fans bare any right to express disgruntlement instead of being labelled as somebody who throws their toys out of the pram? Are you going to say that people who spend income don't have a right to complain that Torres from before or Morata when they watch them at a game don't contribute to the pitch in a way that at least shows some effort Or that Willian is limiting the goals and chances that Chelsea can create?

Sorry, not sure why've quote me on this point. Your post doesn't really make a lot of sense -- maybe you can try again and explain why the user shouldn't listen to 'yahoos' on reddit who are dortmund fans, and disregard any complains. And further why it's 'throwing your toys out of the pram' rather than voicing concerns that have been echoed similarly.

Comments from Reddit from dortmund fans? Not sure why your'e in any better position to assess what they're saying over your own opinion on a Chelsea forum. It's like you've missed the point totally. Talented player is one thing -- 60m when he's not proven to be any better than plenty of other players who play in his position from a price is another. None of his record indicates that he can somehow improve our RW options And Chelsea fans have every right to complain about an inefficiency which other Dortmund fans are also sharing.
  17. MANoWAR replied to a post in a topic in General Chelsea FC
Absolutely not. He properly stalled which is the reason why he isn't a starter -- Dortmund's current crop of forwards and wingers look a lot better than when Pulisic was playing. In fact, looking at some of the Dortmund's comments over on Reddit, he stalled for two seasons. You can say that we've bought potential but 60m euros is fee we should be paying for somebody who's consistently shown that he has the potential to be a world beater, not somebody who might become good. We need to buy players that immediately show our ambition to rise to the top, and nothing Pulisic has done reflects this, particularly if we don't sign any more top end wingers.

That's a f**king ridiculous price. I hope we're still in the market for another midfielder / winger like Fekir Depay or something because Pulisic by himself is really underwhelming. Good business by Dortmund.
  19. Pretty much plays like a poor version of Suarez (which is why Suarez even said he would be a good replacement!). 18 or 17 goals and 5 assists in 36 appearances, involved in a 0.61 goal times per 90 minutes. Considering he shoots 2.3 times per game, with 1.1 on target for the previous seaso. He is very decent, 50m might seems steep but he is 21, has the physique of Suarez and has a lot of room to grow. The market for strikers isn't great at the moment and people like Icardi are a tad unrealistic. Overall has very good hold up play too, not the most technical player. However that's probably not too necessary in this system. Barcelona and Atletico are targeting him for a reason
  20. Maxi Gomez would be a good choice. 50m release clause
  21. I'll admit that the 07/08 when Chelsea and United were going head to head for the league was a real treat. Both teams challenged each other to the pinnacle of club football that season!... Thank God for John Terry. Was about to like this until the last point - agree by the way, part of the reason why matches vs Manchester United are often my favourite
  22. I'm not speaking about this season or the immediate future in particular; I'm speaking about results picking up that represent a better sense of play, which would (generally) continue on in due course. But for an example: A Manchester United doing better might have had a better chance to thwart Liverpool for example, who are too ahead of everybody else, thereby making it less likely for them to win. It also makes the bigger games more interesting from a neutral standpoint -- Manchester City vs United would be more enjoyable, for example. The only thing it does is put pressure on us to keep winning to stay ahead of them.[/quote] Not a bad thing really - just forces us to be better more quickly and look to make signings. Nobody would disagree that Chelsea need to retain their spot, but doing it over a team who is just as competitive is more enjoyable and forces the team to be better in some way whether that be buy investing in other players, being less complacent or having to practice harder. Why do PSG do so poorly in Europe? Likely because they're never challenged domestically.
  23. You're interested in a league where only one team is doing well? That's not what I would want at all. That's why Ligue 1 is so boring most of the time.
  24. tbf a league where manchester united are doing well > Liverpool doing well. Feels strange to be saying that but this is probably better for the league in general.
