  1. Due to Falcao's injury we'll go for Costa, which is a shame as Falcao would be a sensational signing.
  2. I'm in the middle of plastering and redecorating our spare bedroom. Knocked my pan in since mid day, come downstairs for break and a cuppa, stuck on SSN, seen United are losing to Stoke. Fan-bloody-tastic!
  3. Ok. Yes, City are scoring for fun at home this season but guys, it's Man City not Real Madrid. If it's true Aguero and Toure are out then that's an even greater incentive. Jose will do what he always does, he'll set us up to not lose a goal first and foremost away from home. While a win would be fantastic I think Jose would take a point right now if he was offered it. Can't wait for Monday night.
  4. As for people saying we are out the title race, I thought we played 38 games in a season. I must be mistaken.
  5. Disappointing. This just makes Monday night even more must win than it already was.
  6. Just home from work and seen some of the presser from today on SSN. Jose: "I cannot speak about Diego because he is not my player. I can speak about Courtois because he is my player". Reporter: "Ok. Can you see Courtois staying at Atletico Madrid"? Jose: "No". God I love it when he teases them with a hint of a detailed answer then slaps them down with a one word blunt response.
  7. I hope his next sh*te is a hedgehog ...
  8. SSN reporting this morning that we are looking to trigger his £32 million release clause in the summer and have made Costa our summer priority now Rooney looks certain to rip off Man Utd for £300,000 a week by signing a new deal. Shrek's not worth £300,000 a week.
  9. They're stat whores. They'd rather pass pass pass pass when a shot is clearly on, just so come full time they can say "we had 99.7% pass success ratio with our 1714 passes during 90 minutes". Oh aye but you lost. Enjoy the stats. Hate them.
  10. Love: Chelsea Like: AC Milan & Real Madrid Dislike: Man Utd, Liverpool, Barcelona, and Scottish football because it's bigoted, boring, dross.
  11. Just watching the press conference on SSN. Listen to these slabbering, desperate, needy, sycophantic, Manc scum reporters with their questions. "Do you feel you're joining a bigger club". "What do you think of Manchester United now you're here". "What are your thoughts when you heard Manchester United wanted you". Love us! Please love us! Needy Manc pricks. Aaaaaaand exhale.
  12. The photo of him and Moyes just popped up on my Twitter, showing him holding their manky jersey. After tweeting him to thank him for his time with us, I clicked the unfollow button. I am gutted, but we move on. 2 points off the summit, let's get on with it.
  13. Totally off topic, I could watch that GIF all night. Sen-f**king-sational girl.
  14. I don't consider anyone in our midfield "wingers ". Hazard is the closest. In Jose's first term when we had Duff and Robben on either side of that front 3 we were closer to natural wingers, but from a midfield 3 of Hazard, Oscar, and Willian there isn't a guy who is simply tasked as being a winger, ie: work the flank, hit the by line and put in a cross. We have more complete, "attacking midfielders" who can work the middle and out wide. Maybe I still look at wingers too much in the old skool manner, but I don't see the point in selling a midfielder because he can't get a game to sign another midfielder to sit alongside Schurrle, Marin (loaned out), etc.
  15. We don't play with traditional wingers under Jose ... this move baffles me. Hazard is the closest we have to a "winger ".
  16. Salah? Why waste money on Salah? He's not a starter and our midfield is set in stone. Can't get excited about him I'm afraid. Not today.
  17. Exactly. And let's not kid ourselves, their lot on Redcafe and their other forums will be flocking here to take great pleasure in our annoyance. Throwing around petty insults just does us an injustice. When Utd sign Cavani, Ramos, and Herrera to accompany Mata, THEN I'll maybe THINK about worrying. United may have Mata but we have £37m to spend and there are quality players who would do us nicely sitting with release clauses just waiting to be triggered.
  18. Seriously? Some of the stuff on here, whether it's aimed at Jose or Oscar, is childish. Why turn on Jose and Oscar just because a player who's barely featured this season has been sold? If Jose pulls Diego Costa out the hat will you still be unhappy? We NEED a striker, and Costa is certainly more powerful and direct than the likes of Eto'o (who's getting on and I only see as a short term solution) and Torres who seems to like drifting deep/wide to receive the ball then run at defenders.Look at the league table. That suggests we don't need Mata so selling him on is the obvious choice. My only two problems with selling him are a) it's in the January window, I'd prefer we wait until the summer, and b) it's to Man Utd, a team who are crumbling around Moyes and who we are helping improve. However. Did you see their game last night? Mata won't be their saviour, and there are far bigger issues at Old Trafford that Mata alone won't solve. Have you read their forums? They seem to think Mata is the answer to their problems, and that's going to pile pressure on him from Day One. Let's see what Jose does with the £37m first before we start ripping him a new one, and let's quit the childish slurs toward Oscar while we're at it. We don't turn on our own FFS.
  19. I'm surprised Roman is agreeing with this transfer ... he wants the team playing, to coin the old phrase, sexy football.
  20. Thanks. We had two (and two dogs). Went to feed them earlier and one of the wee guys was flat on his side. Not a nice discovery.
  21. Right, Jose ... Diego Costa please!
  22. He's cup tied for the Champions League. Do keep up.
