I wasn't able to watch the match, so when I saw his name pop up when the 3rd goal was scored on the Score Centre, I was genuinely delighted. I know some people have their minds made up with him already, but I really do think that he can be a title winning striker for us. All he needs is confidence, he has the ability.

Don't get me wrong, I completely understand what you're saying. We all want to be in the Champions League, but that place has to be earned. We can't stumble through a season and then complain about the quality of teams we have to face in the secondary tournament. We didn't deserve to qualify for the CL last season. While I'm looking forward to the Europa League campaign, I do hope we are back in the CL sooner rather than later.

A bit disrespectful IMO. While I acknowledge the overall quality isn't great, there are still some very good teams competing, so we can't take success for granted. Also, European football can't be a closed shop to the big boys (although that's unfortunately the route it's going, particularly with UEFA set to bring in a third competition), so it's good that there are opportunities for the Europe's lesser sides to have some continental success.
