  1. Does Walsall, Crystal Palce, Swansea and Southampton have elite wingers? Are you advocating to continue playing Ivanovic?
  2. IVanovic won't play in this match due to injury. So there's a bit of hope that Chelsea will win this match.
  3. lchk replied to Gem's topic in Chelsea FC Rumours
He will only move next summer, if at all and even then, it's no guarantee that Stones will move to Chelsea as other clubs will make bids for him too. Chelsea has a major rebuilding job to do with its spine and full back positions in desperate need of strengthening next summer. However, I doubt there will be lots of money spent.
  4. From my recall, Zouma played poorly at full back. Mourinho's messing up the full back positions and if Villa draws or wins, there's no one to blame except himself.
  5. Ok for the last few games? What tripe is this?
  6. Don't think anyone worth buying is available in January. Whom do you have in mind?
  7. I would be surprised if Chelsea signs any player in January 2016. There aren't any top caliber players available then.
  8. Your preference will only see light if Mourinho wishes to buy Aaron Cresswell or Leighton Baines in the next transfer window or two. Meanwhile, Baba Rahman deserves the chance to show what he can provide over the next 2-3 games and he won't get a better chance with Ivanovic out of action.
  9. A new right back is the priority whether it's in the winter or summer transfer window. The priority to oust Ivanovic from the team can only be remedied with a purchase as Mourinho will not drop him for any other reason.
  10. I doubt the Board will release any funds for Mourinho to spend next January. Nor will there be any players worth buying during the winter transfer window. Will have to wait till next summer. Meanwhile, Mourinho will have to make do with what he has.
  11. I can live with Mourinho fan boyism as he has at least justified needing a bit of time to get things right due to his accomplishments. What I find idiotic is defending the indefensible ie don't drop Ivanovic because his replacement could be worse. There isn't a worst full back in the Premiership now than Ivanovic. He's done at Chelsea and should be dumped into the reserves where he can sit until his contract expires.
  12. That's what he will precisely do. And asking for the sack.
  13. Since Mourinho insists on playing Ivanovic and Fabregas and with the same inflexible formation, I predict a 1-1 draw against Villa.
  14. It's a made up excuse. Mourinho just wants to keep playing Ivanovic. You can guess the result of the Villa match then.
  15. Ivanovic is one of the worst defenders in the Premiership now with more than half of Chelsea's goals conceded directly attributable to him. If that doesn't warrant changes whether it's Baba Rahman, Ola or some other player stepping in, then you are just making excuses for Mourinho. Keep playing Ivanovic and Mourinho will get the sack - he will have deserved it by being stubborn.
  16. It's all in Mourinho's hands. No amount of blame on referees, fixtures and transfers can absolve him from his responsibility as the manager of Chelsea FC. If he fails to win in October, then he has no one but himself to blame.
  17. Mourinho has received an ominous public vote of confidence from the Board of Directors. This means patience is running thin and if he persists with the same under performing players and formation in the next few matches, the outcome is obvious.
  18. Mourinho isn't interested in playing players who aren't his personal favourites. So why are you hoping in vain that he will play Papy?
  19. I am leaning on Mourinho showing blatant favouritism to Ivanovic than any other reason. No player who has been among the worst performers in the Premiership would last being in the squad, let alone starting all matches bar one. Ivanovic does not even deserve the bench. For the sake of the club's future, he needs to be given a free transfer when his contract expires next summer. Meanwhile, just replace him with Cesar and Ola and never allow him to wear the shirt again.
  20. Well, the new full back and centre back must be good enough to oust Ivanovic and Fabregas form their first team spots and send them to the bench or be sold. A new striker is needed too to compete with Costa for the lone striker role and not just be a back-uo.
  21. Mourinho may realize it but he surely won't drop Ivanovic. After all, he did claim Ivanovic is his "best right-back"!
  22. Mourinho will be dismissed as Chelsea flirts with the relegation zone. The new manager will galvanise the team and Chelsea will end up in the top 4.
  23. Blame the medic instead of the man in charge. That's the typical Mourinho diehard supporter.
  24. You don't have evidence how popular Eva was at Chelsea.Popularity does not dictate tactics and coaching. Little wonder non footy fans think a lot of football followers are thick in the head.
  25. Yet some plebeian in this thread is blaming Eva for the team"s mess.
