With no new signings the competition for places should be the same as last year, yes? Therefore our lack of signings cannot be the answer to the question - why have our top players not shown up for the first two weeks of the season?

I don't understand people who are blaming our lacklustre performance on our failure to sign new players. This could explain why we haven't improved like other teams clearly have, but surely it can't explain why we have regressed? With no new influx we should at worst be at the same level with that logic, but we're not. The individual class from Hazard, Cesc, Costa etc. is lacking, and I'm hoping they can find it sooner rather than later.

Ivory Coast play their last Group Match on the 28/1 and assuming they go through (which they will unless they finish 4th in a group consisting of Mali, Guinea, Cameroon) they'll be playing quarter finals on the 31/1 when we play City. So Toure won't feature in that game it seems.

I'm feeling good about this one actually, 3 points.

I haven't read too much into this draw. Yes we should have seen off an out of shape Schalke with a goal to spare but tonight was a classic complacent performance from most players and José who I believe should have started Remy, or alternatively Costa and taken him off at half time. We will still win the group and this performance doesn't make me worry about the Man City game more than before. My concern was, and remains the fact that we concede too many easy goals. We have been able to win anyway because Costa has been putting them away like nobody's business and so naturally when we don't play him we don't have the goal machine to rest back on and make up for our defensive mistakes.

So I want to start biking to games but having never done it before I thought I'd seek your advice. According to chelseafc.com there is a bike shed. How's secure is the bike parking? How early do you need to get there to ensure the bike shed isn't overcrowded? If the bike shed is full, is there secure parking around the grounds? Cheers!
