grant is claudio revisited
Yeah his international career was affected by coming here as its true they like their players playing in their own league........I reckon he flourished here simply because his game was stifled in Italy and he could in all honesty show his true worth in our less defensive environment

grant is claudio revisited
tbh not a lot of good building a team if you ant gonna do anything with em IMHO To be fair, he hasn't had the opportunity to try and finish the projects he started at any club he's been at. And he can spot a talented player...I mean, he did get a certain Gianfranco to replace some bloke called Diego Armando at Napoli. A certain Gianfranco who in all honesty didnt flourish until he came to these shores he had his best playing days here he will say that himself ........Instant success is the name of the game today.....you know that......it aint right but thats the way it is.......Time is at a premium.

To be honest, that could be said about quite a few football fans(not directed at anyone here on the forums) True especially the NEW ones

tbh not a lot of good building a team if you ant gonna do anything with em IMHO In saying that if it were a straight fight between Uncle Avram and Ranieri..........I would have Ranieri all day long....but he aint a good manager

Sp*rs v. CFC match thread -- 19 March
It's funny, because if he had not made the subs and we'd still conceeded, then he would have come in for even more stick than his getting now. Thats summit we'll never know.........we can only talk about what went on

The calm after the storm
We certainly did mate..........i spose a QF defeat by Barnsley pales into insignifigance compared to 10 mins away from the old Third Division (thank you Clive

The calm after the storm
I have to disagree with you there. Perspective changes with current expectations - and I speak as someone who stood on the terraces in the Shed and North Stand throughout the '70s and most of the'80s, and throughout that time went to away games very regularly. I've seen as lose 7-1 at Wolves, 6-0 at Rotherham, 1-0 at Crewe, and I've seen us get knocked out of the Cup Winners Cup by Atvidaberg. Of course there were more (many more) but those are the ones that stand out. The first two, well we were crap at the time(s) but even so, the scale of those defeats was shocking. We weren't exactly world beaters when we lost to Crewe but we were 2 or 3 divisions above them and so went there justifiably full of confidence. And as for Atvidaberg, that single game, the last we played in Europe for over 20 years, to my mind marked a turning point - from that point onward we were never in with a chance of winning anything - not until the recent revival that began with Glenn Hoddle and, well I don't need to write a full history to make my point. Which is simply this - history can make a victory all the sweeter but doesn't make a defeat like yesteday's any easier to take. I disagree bout the not in a chance of winning anything..........The season Orient knocked us out (when the walls fell down) we had a great chance that year of the FA Cup likewise the Sunderland game, had we beat em im sure we would have at least reached the final.........I like you went to those games you mention along with many other nightmare ones........What i think distingishes us from the other fans in London(top flight ones) is that perspective that we do remember the sh*te days of which there were many which other fans cannot comprehend.

- Chelsea v Liverfool
Yeah they wasnt all that good but they could at least string 2 or 3 passes together.........IMHO they deserved the win we were to put it politely absolute pants.....i'll put it down to international week- the latest from the African Nations
Ivory Coast 8 Ethiopia didnt- Birmingham City v. CHELSEA
no team spirit in our camp according to the scousers- Birmingham City v. CHELSEA
Spot on!!- Birmingham City v. CHELSEA
heh heh Merson on SS "Pizzaro has been so bad today the goal should have counted double" "Pizzaro scores a goal and now has become a professional footballer again" Quality stuff from Merse- ManU vs Chelsea
Even if Paulo hasnt played, hes a better defender, which is needed in this game i think. I think JT and Alex dont work against less quality teams cause theyr to slow(to stop counterattacks) as showed against Villa, but Man U will probably have a lot of possesion which is positive for JT and Alex. Swp im not sure about but Malouda will be good for helping out A.Cole with Ronaldo. Sheva and Kalou is what im most worried about, would rather see Pizzaro then Kalou if hes fit. Ashley Cole plays Ronaldo better than any defender in the Premiership...we'll be OK keep the faith boys- PROTEST AT THE BRIDGE
A complete waste of time IMHO...........just makes us look like silly c**ts really.........the best thing to do would be to just chant Joses name all through the game....oops i forgot we dont chant anymore do we....we support the team using sign language- Ian Porterfield dies
What was you doing there??- Ian Porterfield dies
RIP Ian we had the odd good time with you - Chelsea v Liverfool
