  1. Somehow, our board decided he was good enough for us. Even if it was only the attitude problems, that alone should have prevented us from buying him, but he's also sh*t and thick to boot
  2. He is too gutless to be the manager of a club like Chelsea. Pressing the panic button because of going down to 10 men against average teams is ridiculous. I would have understood if we were playing City, Liverpool or Arsenal, but against a terrible Man Utd and Brighton, it's inexcusable. I was watching the highlights of Crystal Palace vs Liverpool and was wondering what Maresca would have done if we were level with Liverpool in injury time. You can bet your house he would have chickened out and defended for a draw instead of trying to win the game like Palace did. I have been indifferent about him but if he gets sacked, he will definitely deserve it. However, for the club to go forward, we need a serious look at the board and transfer committee (or whatever it's called). We need to stop spending stupid money on unproven players. It's not working
  3. I just don't understand it. If you hire random people from the street and give them 2B to spend on players, I doubt they would do worse than our directors have. How have we managed to put ourselves in this situation, where we need to continuously spend boatloads every window because the team isn't getting any better? It boggles the mind.
  4. He's a hipster manager just like Amorim. They think they're being clever when in reality their tactics are idiotic most of the time.
  5. Pretty much It's no coincidence our form went down the toilet as soon as Palmer stopped scoring last season
  6. What a gutless team we are. Being down to 10 mean is no excuse to play this way, with no attacking intent whatsoever. This is a disgrace
  7. The fact that they've spent upwards of £2B and the team is still sh*te is all you need to know that the board and scouting team (and maybe the managers, if they have any say in the buys) are clueless. This summer, most of us were complaining about Liverpool's spending, but we've far outspent them over the last few seasons (granted, we've also made a lot of sales) To be fair, a lot of us fans are also clueless, because before the season began, most of us were optimistic, and many people were saying stuff like "the plan is finally working" when in reality the team still has so many glaring weaknesses in the GK, defense and even attack. The midfield is the only area where we are strong, but even there, there are serious question marks
  8. Charity FC. We are the only team that can manage to make this Man U team look good and give them a confidence boosting win.
  9. I knew his signing will eventually bite us in the bum when we were linked with him and made a comment to that effect. However, journalists asking stupid questions about his (and Disasi's) "situation" need to do one. 99.99% of the world's population would LOVE to be in their "situation" and Maresca's answer was spot on
  10. That goal came from our lack of composure. James should have easily kept possesion in that situation instead of heading it out for a throw in
  11. The Chelsea way. Spend a fortune on a bit-part youngster from a weaker league rather than give your youngsters a chance It's really criminal how much they've spent on the team in recent years with no noticeable improvement
  12. I just don't understand why we need to sign several players every window even after buying so many over recent years. If the "strategy" was really working, we should only need to buy 1 or 2 every window to plug holes, but that's not the case. It's really bizarre
  13. What a horrible team. We can't string 3 passes together without giving the ball away. How are we in this situation after spending more then a billion pounds?
  14. Unbelievable miss. He wasn't even under pressure and could have tried to control it (though he most likely would have failed to do that too)
  15. We're just shooting the ball straight at him. Even a log will save these shots
  16. Why don't our players know how to cut the ball back? They are always trying to play across a crowded goal area
  17. Very few things more enjoyable than beating this bunch of thugs. Get in!!!
  18. The offside should have been called once the offside Spurs player started running towards the ball. Would have been a travesty if that had gone in
  19. That missed kick by Palmer was comical. He hasn't been very good recently
  20. Sterling is so f**king sh*t. WTF was that?? Another useless player bought for big money
  21. Splashing 60m on a shiny new toy when we already have a good player in that position is such a Chelsea thing to do.
  22. We will get sucker-punched from one of these corners for sure.
  23. I am not saying we should only sign young and emerging players. I'm just tired of the club wasting money on hype. Players like Havertz and Werner don't qualify as "emerging talents" when we signed each of them for a fortune. They fall into the hype category. Granted, I may have gone overboard with the has-beens, but my major point stands. Call me a cynic, but I think most of the youngsters we buy are mostly to add to our loan contingent with the aim of making profit. That's not necessarily a bad thing, but the examples you cite don't disprove my point. We are in the market for a striker and instead of looking for an emerging talent, who do we go for? Last season, when we were looking for a striker, who did we go for? Do you see a pattern here?
