Yes.

Pros -

Striker we desperately need

Proven goal scorer.   11 goals in 17 la liga games is a great return for his 6 months there.

Knows the league 

Flexible enough to play multiple positions across the front line.

Can play on the left wing and isn't Pulisic.  Biggest pro of all

Will have a point to prove to Arteta and Arsenal so will be highly motivated.

Cons.

Old as f**k and should have been signed years ago.

Providing it's on a free or a minimal fee I'd take him.

Given our current attacking players rarely get a chance to do any celebrations I'd put that in the pro column.

Okay. If there’s any substance to this, it’s almost certainly a Tuchel request. Tuchel coached him for two years at Dortmund where Aubameyang had his most prolific spell. Tuchel knows him better than any of us do. If Tuchel doesn’t want Neymar, who he also coached, but insists on Aubameyang, then I’m not going to argue. Let’s wait and see what happens before jumping to conclusions.

well i do trust TT so if he wants him i reluctantly will have to get over my personal dislike of the guy 

although i would find it funny if he outscores Jesus or scores against Arsenal, that would be comedy

But we shouldn't offer him more money than what he gets at Barcelona. He took a pay cut to go there if i'm correct. He should stay on that pay grade if he wants to come here. 

we can swap him for Alonso maybe? or it can reduce the amount Barcelona have to pay for him

oh and don't give him a long term contract. He disappeared after he signed that huge contract with Arsenal.

Think this could be quite a good 1 year deal. Auba is a proven goal scorer won’t be first choice at Barca and as stated knows the pl.

He will provide competition for Havertz and I might argue Sterling is better on the right wing than the left. As for Broja opinions will vary widely but this season my guess is that Auba will outperform broja. That is just a guess.

As for age he is 33 and so is Lewandowski. Benzema is 34. Auba is not as good as those 2 and relies more on pace so whether he still has it I don't know. He scored 92 goals for Arsenal including 20 goals a season in the PL for 2 seasons and was still going strong at Barca last season.

His transfer fee couldn't be that high and I think it would be smart business on the assumption that he and Tuchel know each other.

As I said, to me this seems like a pure scatter gun approach by Todd; he's all over the place. I have no clue what he's trying to do. It's like he's read a football magazine, spotted some names, found out where they worked and made a bid for them, while being f**ked over in the process.  I think we have been linked with about 4 million 563 players this window, more than the entire world ...all we wanted was 6 apparently wasn't it?  Well shouldn't him and TT have had a list of 12 names at most for 1st and 2nd choices, but ideally push for the 1st choice.  Apart from Koulibaly how many more 2nd string players is going to piss his money away on. If we are signing him just as a stop gap then I don't mind. I'd rather we make a signing like this until someone that suits our system comes along versus making the mistake we made with Lukaku (so long as we are getting him for less than 30mil). Auba is already used to the league and will probably do better with people like mount and sterling around him versus what he had at arsenal. 

Auba moved to them for FREE 6 months ago. If they want rid so badly let's loan him.

I've got no issues with Auba per se, despite his dark Arsenal past, but I've always felt he was coasting, never fully using his talents or willing to work his socks off. Pass for me, but I doubt the rumour anyway.

Aubameyang comes in for a year, Broja leaves for c.£10-15m less than his market value, we insert a buy back clause only for Real Madrid to snaffle him in a couple of years time, we are left searching for another striker after PEA has a stinker. No thanks.

I think I’d be ok with this as a short term option providing it is Cheap fee and we’re not offering a long contract

Problem with this is Dortmund play a counter attack style of football, Arsenal under Arteta and the previous manager when he was highest scorer in the league play a counter attacking style of football. He is getting so much space to run behind in La Liga because teams don’t sit deep.

How is he meant to work when Tuchel insists on playing possession style of football, and has changed it this preseason. It would be a disaster; Depay I could stomach on the same 2-year deal + option for a further year, on the same wages he is on at Barca if they release him on a free.

spot on! & that is because the manager is putting pressure on him, and convinced him he can win the league if he gets the players he asks for. I just don’t see it when he has finished 19pts behind them in the last 2 seasons. If this goes wrong & blows up in our faces we are screwed big time. Fans moan about Marina sticking players on big wages, but this will be way worse as we are throwing bigger wages around. And unlike with Roman I just don’t see these guys throwing more money at it to rectify mistakes if it fails.
