I'd like to go without this rinse and repeat BS every season. We should have picked an experienced and high quality manager to begin with, give him the control and do what is best to achieve success and stability. Instead we keep getting this merry go round of managers. I'm sick and tired of it. We wasted half a season of Graham Potter who had done nothing at the top level. Pochettino, fair enough, he did decent at Tottenham and PSG, but it took him a period of time with Spurs and they didn't have the same pressure to succeed as Chelsea at the time. We need a manager who comes in and can handle the pressure to succeed. But then again, maybe our expectations have to be reeled in because we aren't at that level, and the ownership don't seem like they are willing to take us there any time soon.

Even if he somehow turns it around, we’ve seen his ceiling as a manager.

He doesn’t react well to adversity and is far too pragmatic as a consequence. His system is too rigid + reliant on specifics and is too arrogant to adapt or change.

This was the co-directors “guy”, so sacking Maresca would ultimately mean they need to hold the L. This makes me fear they will persist with Maresca for as long as they have to.

Worst style of football we’ve played since AVB.

Makes Avram Grant appear to have aura.

If it wasn’t for winning the European Milk Cup and the CWC being matchfixed by the American hedgefund he’d of been gone last season.

Sticking with him will cause our best players to leave with his negative draining ideology.

Get him gone.

Anyone who votes to keep him need sectioned for their own good...

I did vote in favour of Maresca. But this does not mean I believe we are going for the major trophies this season. It simply is not going to happen with such an inexperienced squad.

He asked for a new center back. Did not get one. Colwill is out. Palmer is out. Badiashile, Fofana and Lavia are never available. Delap is injured and there is no quality backup for Joao Pedro. The two starting center backs (Chalobah and Tosin) are bang average and West Ham quality, no more than that. Squad is filled with so many young players that it makes the work of any manager even harder.

If you think I need to get my head checked for backing him, it's ok. But if you think another manager would come in and instantly erase all the problems caused by the lack of experience and the very low standard of some of the starters who, in all fairness, should be squad players at max, then maybe you should join me, too, at the doctor's office.

Mate.

I’ve backed Maresca for ages but we’ve seen these past few weeks how truly inexperienced he is. He is far too reactive and is too pragmatic/panicky when facing adversity.

Unless we're bringing in a De Zerbi or Xavi then I'm reluctantly Enzo in, not sold on the rest of the options being floated. Fabregas looks promising too

Sorry but come on man, theres no excusing his actions this season. The squad is much better than the results hes getting, he literally has no idea what to do in adversity. He absolutely sh*ts himself every single time. He has one way of playing and doesn't have the imagination or Intelligence to deviate, even when its blatantly obvious it isn't working as the players he picks dont suit that gameplan.

Hes possibly the worst manager in the top flight I've ever seen.

Out, Out, OUT.

He's a Championship level manager at best. We might as well have kept Lamps.

Will watch MOTD tonight just to see what absolute bo**ocks he comes out with. Palace beat Liverpool today, watch us get battered next week because we have a clueless coach who is too negative and is out of his depth. Hate to say it, but the more games we lose, just maybe they will sack him. West Ham have acted, expect Man Utd will act soon and we look as bad as both of them and are sliding down the table and no doubt out the CL early too.

Would love to get Glasner but that's just a pipe dream, but it has to be Maresca Out.

Ive voted Out. I havent given it too much thought but nor has he. Someone needs to pay the price for this dreadful carry on.

The Mathew Harding lower was nearly empty whilst the game was still in progress. Truly shocking.

Utter rubbish.

Its not going to make things worse if he wasnt here.

Out. 1) for always picking Jackson last season and saying the donkey was his perfect striker 2) For always having the team play slow stagnant football. 3) for alienating too many players.

Need a 4th option. Don't care. Because we know the next one is another blueco puppet not fit for the task.

This is really driving my on the fence decision. I don't think we get anyone better.

Yea I would say that reason does really cover on the fence!

I predicted he would be sacked by christmas, difficult run of games coming up

United, Forest, Spurs, Burnley, Leeds, Bournemouth, Newcastle - all away in PL ,add Munich, Quarabag, Atalanta - CL all away plus Lincoln

Brighton, Liverpool, Sunderland, Wolves, Arsenal, Everton - home in PL, add Benfica

Drop a lot of points in those games and we could be down the table

Since i posted this P4 W1 D0 L3

we scraped past Lincoln, lose to Benfica and Liverpool and he will be sacked in the international break

Unless he changes his philosophy of inverting and his dinosaur football, ie sideways backwards sideways backwards he has no chance, save yoour job, play Guiu, he says hes not ready, we wont know until he gives him a start, why no Garnacho?

So who would you replace him with? No world class manager is going to attach himself to a project unless he is looking for a quick paycheck. Top managers will not even negociate with the board if they are not guaranteed to have some experienced players be brought at the club. The squad is incredibly young and talented, but the lack of experience can be seen every single week. The way it looks, the board would rather wait for another 3-4 years until they all peak at the same time, than buy some ready made, top class ones and shorten that period.

Guess this is their way of doing things and there is not a lot that we as fans can do about it, other than just support the club and be realistic.

And no, the squad in the recent weeks is not that better than results show. The center back options are some of the worst this club has had for the past decades and Caicedo basically runs that midfield all alone. Let's wait for all the unavailable players to be fully fit and see how we look.
