Antonio Conte - Now Officially Manager
I'm not talking about selling players. If RM had bought both those players and still had Ronaldo then they would have had a stronger squad. If Ronaldo get's injured they have some back ups who are capable. As I understand it, youth players fall outside the squad limit? If this isn't correct, then I think filling squad positions with 18 year olds does make your squad weaker. If your key players get injured your relying on an 18 year old to do a job rather than a seasoned player. You can't go calling our signings duds but then be 100% confident that a youth player will be a better option?

Absolutely! The more options you have in any one position makes your squad stronger, if the manager chooses not to use them well that's a luxury choice because of the squad strength

It's just embarrassing. We're a football club not a 16 year old's birthday party. Any additional purchase makes us a stronger team

The way you talk about signing new players and the state of our squad is embarrassing

I think having Jose, Pep, Klopp etc in the league next season should help Conte ever so slightly. Imagine the limelight if none of those managers were here and we were coming off a really positive season. He has been a successful manager and we won't finish 10th if he has any sort of impact (which I'm confident he will). The microscope will likely be on the others and he won't be burnt alive if he loses a couple of games. One thing is for sure, when Leicester are 12th halfway through the season the media won't be calling it "one of the most disastrous title defenses ever in history" or pulling other adjectives out of their ass when describing how poor they have been compared to last season.

Chelsea end long standing partnership with adidas
Flown Delta a couple of times in the US, they were certainly better than AA and United. What's wrong with them?

Name your top 4 2016/17 EPL
Chelsea City Spurs United I think Arsenal will finally crack and it may be time for something fresh Spurs have a really good mix of young players and players in key positions, I'm sure they will strengthen as well, but i think we are better equipped to mount and hold a challenge. Liverpool still have so many mid table players Leicester will now have to deal with being the hunted

Some of those late 80's and early 90's alternative kits are awesome. Can you get them anywhere? Edit: Just seen the next link

Papy Djilobodji
That's how I read it too. Quite frankly I don't know why everyone loves to shoot the Papy fan down. Yes he seems quite biased towards him, but so am I when defending my favourite players. If the worst that happens is that he is right then I'll take that any day

I simply can't say it enough. David Luiz and Ashley Cole's penalties were positively and astronomically out of the highest of top draws

At some point we will have to say goodbye though

Papy Djilobodji
Yes it is when you apply logic. I'm not suggesting Papy would have got the nod, I'm just saying it wouldn't have surprised me nearly as much as it should have if we started playing another central defender in the LB spot when we had a traditional LB in the squad.

Not sure this is so obvious, in recent seasons we have done everything possible play players out of position in defence.

I guess in a strange world its those US/Asian trips that make these deals with Nike more possible. Starting to sound a lot less like football

I don't dispute this at all but it's just so unlike Jose to be slack in preseason. I've seen him say countless times that preseason is the most important time for him as a coach because he thinks A) fitness is vital and B) it's the only time he actually gets to implement his strategies. Come mid season he felt he could only keep players focused and their skills up, with no time for any wholesale tactical learnings. A part of me thinks he tried to lighten up and try a different approach in order to remain fresh.

We did sell the most shirts in the world this season though. Not complaining at all but I did think we would be breaking records with this deal, still impressive numbers.

Conte needs to work miracles? We haven't just come up from the championship, nor are we starting with a points deficit, nor do we have players who have never achieved anything. Roman needs to stand up? I don't know what you mean by that but you certainly couldn't mean releasing more funds? For what ever people want to say about the scouting, the board, the control of money.. releasing more funds has not been our issue.
